Big storm moving into NYC and New England. Expecting 15-30 inches of snow (or more in some places) and high winds and drifting. They did some comparisons to prior storms which I don't even remember, except the Blizzard of 1978 that I ended up walking home in.
Northwest corner where the snow is usually heavier and the temperatures are colder. Looks like we dodged a bullet here this time- they have cut the estimates back to 5-12 inches now. State travel ban was just lifted for only Litchfield and Fairfield county local roads. High snowfall in the state so far is Putnam, with 26" and counting.
