Not for the weak hearted!

You got a good idea of scale as that lioness was munching on that full grown man.
These are large predators. Predators are carnivores. To them, we are food, in this case, an easy meal.
What....Discovery channel is not good enough for you, you have to get out of your car with a crappy camera and take pictures.
If he was gonna do that, his ole lady should have been covering his ass with a large caliber rifle.
Totally irrresponsible to put his wife and children thru this and the rest of their lives having to live with that memory.
DARWIN AWARD

unless there were multiple video cameras that were spliced together i would say this was from a movie or somthing. the zoom in on the babys face is just not somthing that would happen in a real incident like that.

I gree 200% and I'd have a 45 in my other hand -
well My a$$ would never be out there in the first place!

Most preferred sidearm in Alaska where they have a large amount of BIG predators......Desert Eagle in .44 mag or my choice .50 SE. Big holes and lots of em, if... you can shoot straight under duress. I've seen many a man miss a man sized target from 5 yards just from being timed!
My heart goes out to that woman and her children. When you have a responsibility like that, you don't take it lightly. Every man out there should know that. My family is everything to me and I would never pull a stunt like that without proper precautions.
It looks like real footage to me, maybe spliced, but looks actual.

ya know,
that guy pissed me off. How utterly stupid can a man be, to put himself in a situation like that. This may be harsh, but , the real tragedy here is that he reproduced before he comitted suicide. :(

I have seen some pretty nasty stuff in my career. I mean NASTY. But for some reason, I find it worse to watch it on TV. By the way, I don't think I am going to watch this video.

I understand.
One of my best friends is an EMT for the city of pittsburgh. I'd prolly cry alot having to see the the stuff you guys do.

Ravyn, its really not like that. Seeing that stuff on TV gives me the creeps. When I see that kind of stuff in the field, Its almost surreal, like its really not happening. But it does leave alot of memories in your head. And believe me, its alot harder when its a child.

I have to agree with the previous posts, not that it's saturday night family funtime viewing, but Darwin award winner!! Not doubt. I have worked at the pittsburgh zoo in my youth, and I was fortunate enough to work on the savannah with the trainers, and the one thing you realize very quickly is, without wepons, on their terms, they win!! Plain and simple, no shot of video in the world would be worth risking what he did. Now his children get this video to remind them of their father. Sad

Nothing is worse then the footage that leaked out onto the internet last year of that first hostage in Iraq that had his head cut off. That still haunts me to this day. It is easily the most troubling thing I have ever seen.

Oh Hell ya!! that was terribly sad!! and no doubt as gruesome as they come. That is a very good example Mac...frightening!

That was gruesome, I remember how bad I felt just for watching it weeks after the fact.

Man, what a stupid man. First he gets out of the car and then when he is attacked he doesn't even fight back. Just a word of advice to anyone that is ever attacked by an animal. You poke it's eyes out. One of the only ways to get an animal off of you if you are unarmed. This guy is slapping at the lion and the lion probably doesn't even notice.

You poke it's eyes out.

sound advice...

Also...when the beheading vids were coming out, I watched them all. Mainly because I wanted to make sure I stayed nice and angry. Don't care to see em anymore though. I don't have a problem with killing, be it animal or man if it is required or deserved. But to brutally sever a head ...that is not the act of a civilized person.
