Has anyone had any experience (good or bad) with the Old Fashioned brand of cigars? I think they are like knock off's of various premium brands. They sell for bundles of 20 for under $30 and I was thinking of trying them out, but wanted to fish around for opinions.

Aren't they factory seconds of different brands? "Seconds" because of imperfections.

The website I was looking at said they were factory seconds from Punch and Hoyo de Mont. (for the Old Fashioned Honduran). They had some other Nicaraguan lines as well....

I went ahead and ordered a bundle, so I'll post the results once they come in. It's always nice to find a decent cheapie, so hopefully these will be just that! If not..... Merry Christmas, Dad!!

Old Fashion's are seconds to HdM's! Not a bad everyday/yard cigar at all! Yes, they have imperfections, but they taste the same as the first; same blend, same tobacco. I have regularly bought them in the past. For the money they're a great deal.

Timmy. I know these are your special occasion cigars when you go out for a night on the town. What is your everyday cigar?

:D His every day cigar are the ones people give him for free.

Ok Ricky; , you too BigTom! Don't make me come after you boys!

Well, I got the bundle and gave it a try. The cigars have a pretty good construction - a little soft, but not too bad. They smelled great. I lit one up and was impressed with the copious amounts of smoke produced from the easiest of draws. The draw on these is too light for my taste, I suppose due to the loose construction. The flavor was a disappointment at first -- almost nonexistent. But after about 1/3 was smoked the flavor came in quite a bit and I enjoyed it the rest of the way. Burn was surprisingly even and the ash held up well considering the loose construction. The flavor was a little milder than I would have liked, but still enjoyable. For the price, these are a good everyday/car/yard cigar.
