We here at Distorted have been tossing around this idea of how we can help our brothers and sisters in Harm's Way enjoy more great cigars. My lovely wife suggested looking into donations for products that we all enjoy. She pointed out the fact that we are about $2,000 in donations alone from us, and maybe people would like to help out.
What got this started was her seeing an ad about Thompson sending cigars to the guys down range. She is convinced that most of those cigars are equal to a 'utility' cigar, not good cigars such as those we all enjoy here.
I have been experimenting with humidity for shipping. That great big chalk the kids use on the sidewalk...it makes a heck of a humidifier in an enclosed box, and is inexpensive.
As this is only in what we refer to as the Conceptual Stage(The Guys Down Range LOVE the idea) it is open for serious discussion.
Call me a fool, but I like this idea, and am just looking for ideas on how to make it work real good. Lord Knows, I can have a laundry list of address to send to, a lot more than I can supply by myself.
