Somewhere down in Texas
I want to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers during the past week. My dad was in such bad shape that the family started preparing for the worst.
The doctors determined that my dad was suffering from conjestive heart failure and mild emphezema due to years of heavy smoking. They couldn't figure out why he had the rapidly deteriating mental status tho. The tests came back and showed 80% carbon dioxide in my dads blood. To make a long story short, They got the carbon dioxide down to normal levels and brought my dad back from the spirit world!
Yesterday he was back to his old self! It was a wonderful Christmas!!! He has a long, tough road ahead of him but I am confident he will recover. I think he realized how close he was to death. This may have well been a blessing in disquise!
Again, thank you, my friends for your prayers and offering a shoulder for me to lean on. I also appreciate the e-mails and phone calls. It certainly made this much easier!
