Just looking for some feedback on a couple of different items:

- Indian Tabac Maduro
- Sherpa

- Bahiba

Thanks for the help guys!

My only help is with the Edge Maduro Torpedo
Well constructed, solid. Plenty of smoke, Plenty full too.
Strong finish, you'll be tasting the pepper on your palate for a while. I'm usually burning flesh to have to get rid of one!

Can't wait to smoke my first Diploma! I've got two resting in the humidor a natural and a maduro.

Thanks...

I'm having some of my mooch friends over for a housewarming (just bought a house) and so I'm looking for some reasonably priced smokes that at least I'll like. Those guys come over and will raid my humidor otherwise :) And at least temporarily, I'm on a bit more of a constricted budget!!

As for the Bohiba - just curiosity there :)

I once read a post on this forum when I first got here and I've always remembered it. I won't mentinon his name but he's posting today.

My friends always get my best sticks, because they are my friends.

You'll see that on this forum and some of these guys only know each other from a monitor screen.

In regards to Yard Gars..... I've bought Honduran Primeros from Cigar.com for a buck a stik and I smoke em all the time. Check the website, Bundle of fifty for $50.00. Full bodied and Honduran, what more can you ask for.

You can also find RP's The Edge Seconds for about $2.50 a stik, another great deal.

Good luck!

I was afraid that would get taken out of context, I should have been more clear :) ...

With the amount of people that I am gonna have over and just knowing their smoking(not to mention drinking) habits, there is just no way for me to accomodate them with what I have in my humidor. I love my friends, but they still think they are in college (although we are all around 30) - trust me when I say they'll come over, bring no sticks, and even the non-cigar smokers will literally go through everything I have. Trust me, if I was talking about 3 or 4 people, it wouldn't even be an issue.

Anyway, this is why I was asking about the brands that I did - not trash, just not gonna set me back a high premium per stick - I'm positive these guys we'll be smoking half a cigar, leaving it somewhere and lighting another up (rinse and repeat) hehe...

Well, last year I went to party and brought a box of CAO Crillo and some La Aroma - 35 or so cigars. Not even the whole crowd was there.

When I tell you I watched people leaving a cigar that wasn't even half finished, forgetting about it, and grabbing another one, time and time again, I'm not exaggerating.

Great guys, don't get me wrong - but, lesson learned.

haha..I know people like that. Razor was right with the Honduran premeros

these are a great deal...I have found that they taste even better when they sit a while.

if i am going to leave cigars out on a table like they were party snacks i wouldnt let them be particularly good ones, but if i had a few freinds over i would give them the good stock. giving a large crowd a bunch of diplomas that probly wont even like them too much is just silly. half would fall over cause they dont know they arent supposed to inhale cigars and the other half would have been happy with drug store cigars.

Well, you know how it is. Several people are standing around smoking, and then everyone wants to try :)

Like I said, I've learned my lesson. They've gotten into my liquor cabinet one of the previous times and did things with a bottle of almost full Cabo Wabo that would bring Sammy Hagar to tears.

You know how you say "My house is your house" to your guests? Well, some people take it a little more seriously then others

asica;
you want the Primeros then, Ravyn gave you the link. And I'm telling you, you won't mind them either. Or just let them age for the mooch's next invasion.
I've been known to size up the caliber of a smoker. Everybody wants to see in the humidor and everybody is a cigar smoker. Then you watch how they handle the stik and try to light it.
That's when the Thompson Old Timers come out!
Take care, good luck!

believe me, the price of the primeros is insanely cheap for what they are worth. they are not complex but still taste very good. i would say most cigars are rocky road, primeros are very tasty vanilla.

Thanks, that sounds perfect! I'm gonna order a bundle of those now.

hehehe... On that note, one of somehow managed to cut the palm of their hand open with a Xikar. I still can't explain that.

I think that how the person lights the cigar could be a direct relation about how avid a smoker they are. And how they cut it. Should be two fluid motions.

What should be two fluid motions? The cutting and the lighting or the cutting itself? Frankly, lighting a cigar the right way is far from fluid. It's a pain in the butt to get it just right. But you are right about the cutting. You can usually tell who smokes cigars consistently from those that smoke on occasion based on how they cut it.

I gave a non smoking friend a Sauza cigar (Mild yet spicy) and before I knew it he cut an inch and a half off and the whole wrapper just spiraled off. Although they're 11 dollar sticks I couldn't help but laugh my ass off at his pissed off tirade. I gave him another with proper instructions later but not until he had stewed a bit. If you want to have your friends still smoke a namebrand but have it not be a shame if they waste a few, go with Padron 2000's or Fuente curly heads.

That is because peopel who don't smoke cigars don't realize that there is a cap on the end that is there so you can cut it without having it unravel. On the rare occasion when someone I know wants a cigar, I always cut it for them, unless they want to use my punch cutter which a 2 year old could use without messing it up.

I've gone so far as to cut it and toast it for them. I've handed people my 3 nozzle torch, only to have them fry half the wrapper off.
