I have one of those multi-tools from Xikar. After a while it broke and I couldn't use it anymore, so I sent it back to them and they sent me a brand new one, no questions asked. w00t

I know, it's not THAT exciting, but it's cool anyway.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

That's good news! It's so rare to find a manufacturer who will stand behind the quality and warranty of their products.

I don't have any Xikars to woot over.

I've never had to send in my cutter, but I've been vary happy witht he service I've recieved. It only took them a week to get me my free leather case when I regestered the cutter.

I haven't had to send in any of my cutters yet either, but I'm glad to hear they take care of their customers so well.

they are well known for their customer service. they sell a lot of cutters based on the pr they get from doing the right thing.

Doc, I have an extra Xikar cutter if you're interested. Make me an offer I can't refuse.
Since I don't know which model you have, I'm willing to offer my unconditional lifelong friendship to you. And if you're ever in the Los Angeles area, I'll treat you to lunch/dinner at a very good Korean restaurant. I'll bet you've never had kal-bee or bul-go-gee as good as this over in Ohio. :D

Ahh steak! The meat of champions! (sorry Brenda)
I still need to find a nice steak house in my area, other than Black Angus.

What about Cuban Crafters, anybody use these? I bought a double blade cutter for them. With it came a lifetime guarentee card saying that if it ever breaks or doesnt perform as well, send it back and they will send you a new one for free.

It is great when companies stand behind their products. In a related story, I got a router attachment for my Dremel power tool. I set the attachment on the top shelf in my garage and the cat knocked it off the shelf and broke the handles. I called Dremel with the intent on BUYING a replacement handle. The lady I talked to insisted that I didn't have to pay for it even after I told her the story. It was not their fault!!! That is service! Gerber Knives did the same after I broke the belt clip on my Pocket knife. My fault, I told her, but she sent me a new one even when I offered to pay.

I will buy a Xikar Cutter now if I need one.

I have two and have yet to have to send them in even after almost a year of cutting with one. I don't know if its true or not but have been told they don't sharpen them but rather just send you a new one. If true, THAT'S service.

For those of you looking for a new lighter, their guarantee stands for these too. Lifetime repair/replacement for lighters sounds great.
