Hi,
Wondering where in PA you are and where your going fishing?
I live in the Pocono Mountains and have been known to wet my line.
I am living for Shad season - I fish them hard for a month.
CC :D

I am currently attending Lehigh. I am very unfamiliar with the area but the Poconos sound familiar.

Not to far - I'd have to check but within a hour.
I don't go south to often, your near Allentown I believe.

The real question is do you fish???????????
I know you smoke

ha I know nothing of fish... other than how they taste. Seafood is unquestionably my favorite.

Yeah fish sticks do count, but they are like hot dogs, they're good but don't ask what goes into them

CC,
I've driven thru the Pocono's but have not spent much time there. Its a beautiful area. I'm on the other side of the state around Pittsburgh. Its an old tradition for me and my brother RazorKing to fish Racoon State Park, in Beaver county. Its a very nice park with a good size lake and streams. We 'll hit the lake on saturday and prolly the creek on sunday. I'm more the casual fisherman, while Razor is the consumate fisherman. They don't stock as much as they used to, but thats ok...less people on the opener. I'm really looking forward to it. We do breakfast at lakeside around 6. The real heart stopper breakfast...eggs..bacon...sausage homefries...and lots of it......
Then we do "second breakfast" (for you hobbit fans) around 10 when the women show up. Its quite the tradition for us. :D

Sound like a good time!

I did fish with a Cigar Buddy last year for opening day.
Not doing it this year.
Still dealing with clean up from the last flood we had here.
On the bright sida, a group of my cigar club are coming out to smoke and work with me.

I have a stream running through my back yard and have been waiting
for the water to clear up, there looks to be some really nice trout holes after this last flood.

To bad you live so far - I LOVE to fish!
Sitting on the bank smoking a cigar and wondering if casting the rod would help any

haha...thats good. I can relate to that :)

Hope you didn't have too much damage from flooding. If we were closer I'm sure me and the brothers would be happy to help you out. Good excuse for a cigar. :D
Well, I'm sure that as soon as RK see the part about fishing holes on your property, his ears will perk up and he'll be thinking about a camping trip out to your area

In the Fall the big Browns come up out of the Lake.
They go 8-12 pounds!
Some seriously big fish around here!

i havent been fishing in years, i stopped right about the time it wasnt the "cool" thing to do anymore. i think its something i would enjoy doing now. how much of a fee is it to get a fishing license now days? i know you can get a day pass for like 10 bucks or somthing but if a year license is only 30 or somthing it would be worth it. do you even need one to catch and release?

You need it - to fish period.
Unless you are on private water.
Not sure of the cost?
I will let you know next week.

RAVYN... brothers? What fraternity are in? I was an SAE myself.

Well,
Me and RazorKing have been to a few frat parties in our day, and we can drink beer with the best, but we are actually blood brothers. Our mother likes me best though.

Well, I'm thinking my last frat party was probably more than 25 years ago.
And Brother, Leave that Blessed woman out of this.

haha..yes ..by the lake.
Actually, we like to try to get the cliff area across from the boat launch. Hard to say though, since we usually play it by ear :)
