Does anyone watch Rescue Me? Last night I noticed Lou (Lt) smoking a Flor De Oliva Robusto. You could plainly see the red, white and blue band.

I saw the same thing!
Even made a comment to my wife about it.

She gave me the courtesy, "Oh really?"
She wasn't impressed with my cigar knowledge.

That's an awesome show.

Yea, Resuce Me is a great show. I didn't catch the cigar, but I have noticed that they've done that sort of thing in the past. A couple of weeks ago, Franco's girlfriend gave him an expensive watch, a Patek Philippe, which as watch enthuisists know, is a very expensive watch.

Same thing on HBO's Entourage. Artie had a cigar on his desk, clearly placed there with the label facing the camera.

I remember on The Soprano's, Tony smoking an Ashton Natural.

I started out the season watching but then my DVR didn't record a few episodes and I didn't go back. I'll watch it when they do a recap.

Tony also smoked a Mac when he was in the hospital. He lost a lot of respect right there.

I remember him asking for Macanoodles. Like kuzi said, Product Placement.

whats with the Mac hate here? lol

I've only smoked one Macanudo and it was the Gold Label. I thought it was a fantastic smoke.

Most macs are unidimensional and way too mild for most. That's why tobacconists suggest them to new smokers. If that was all though, they would just be considered an entry level cigar, but they're specifically made that way. When I asked the rep, he told me that they specifically blended it without ligero tobacco, the tobacco that gives it spicyness and a little body.

Product placement is fine, but Tony protrays a tough mob boss, I want to see him smoking a Diploma or a fat Padron.

There was an episode where he gave his neighbor a box of Cubans. That's what I want to see him smoke.

ROFL

point taken, So I guess I need to rethink sending my PIF a Gold Label Mac :boohoo:

It seems like with CAO producing a Soprano cigar that they would hold exclusive rights to what cigars the show used.

I wonder when Stihl will come out with a Sopranos brand chainsaw?
