i go to school in north carolina and live in new york, i plan to UPS all of my stuff back home at the end of the year, how should i ship a humidor?
should i leave cigars in the humidor?
how do i packag he humidor?
will my stick gets ruined in the travel?
etc.

Phoenixx, I work for the Post Office, so I will try to answer this one for you.

If you have the original box that your humidor was shipped in, that should protect it. If you pack the cigars inside so that they will not shake around that should be fine to. If you don't have that box, or are going to place that box in a larger one, wrap it with a towel, or sheet, tape that in place, and tha will protect it. Other wise pack it into a box again protected with a towel, sheet, or other cardboard wrapped around it.

Remember if you cannot drop it 3 feet safely, do not ship it. Stuff does get dropped, and stuff does get shaken up, and I don't think there is a shipper alive that will allow for breakage.

If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to PM me. If I can help, I will.

Good Luck with your studies!

i worked at a sorting facility for the post office durring xmas, better make that safe to drop at 6 foot, those containers are that high and we would just chuck the packages over the sides all the time lol.

if your driving up just take it with you but i dont know how you are getting back to ny where in ny do you live?

from long island, i plan on keeping half my stuff in a storage center and then ups-ing the rest, and of course i can't go a summer with my smokes sitting in a lonesly self storage place

If you are flying, and your Humi isn't bigger than a carry on luggage bag, just carry it on the plane.
