it just doesnt get any better. i got my network set up so i have my wireless router in a place i can have my laptop on the back patio and be on the internet, so now i have on my patio: comfy couch, dining table, tv/dvd player, and internet. and to top it all off its raining! so beautiful. i can now do my 4 fav things all at the same time! surf the internet, watch star trek, smoke cigars and listen to the rain!

Hey, hey, hey, you already have Seattle in your profile, therefore you can't type "it's raining." That's being redundant. It's like someone typing a post from the UK and saying "today I had a beer."

:cryinlaugh: :neer: :neer: :neer: :rotflmao: :pumpkin: :pumpkin:  :bolt:

least im not a fish murderer!! its a common misconception that it rains all the time in seattle. we can go a couple months without rain just like every where else. it hasnt rained like this in at least 4. most we get is just a sprinkle for 10 min then it clears up. if you take the ammount people say it rains, thats the ammount its overcast. doesnt really rain all that much.

Ahhhh, that's very interesting. Thanks for the information. I was explaining to someone on e-mail this weekend, that we've been beset with similar weather conditions this summer to the ones you've described. I'm at about 1,100-1,200 feet altitude, and all summer, huge rain cloud formations have passed directly over, dropping hardly any rain. All around, down in the valley, it has rained, and heavy winds have knocked down trees, power lines, etc. Up here we've been hit with a few lightning bolts, plenty of thunder, but hardly any rain. That's not typical, but very interesting. Although the lower parts of the Hudson Valley usually get the worst of any weather system, not having any rain up here is really unusual.

I spent a year on the Oregon coast, Lincoln City, and it literally rained for 180 straight days. Totally blew me away, never have seen anything like it. The most amazing thing is I never saw a puddle anywhere, the ground and vegatation just soaked it up. If it did that here in NM, I'd be out in the canoe, we would be under water.

I learned real fast in Oregon, you don't wait for sunny days, you just go do what ever you want rain or shine. If you want a sunny day, you will get depressed real quick.

wow i couldn't deal with 180 days of rain. If it rains twice in one week here everyone says were having awfull weather. I woke up this morning and its 79 degrees and clear blue sky. Not New York or ohio clear blue, but SC or NM clear blue. It is incredible, can't wait to drive around with the sunroof open!

I spent some time in the Pacific Northwest - I remember when I was in Seattle they knew I was the guy from out of town because I was carrying an umbrella!

Love that area - Washington State was beautiful and the Oregon coast was amazing. Spent some time in Coos Bay - I was the first "I"talian my client had ever met. I had her going that I ate pasta for breakfast.
