so im in the process of cleaning out/throwing away/moving stuff out of my apt and moving into my fiancees...

well im going through the junk drawer and what do i find? A five pack box of ISOM Partagas Chico's, look to be maybe 4.5 x 35 or so. I couldnt remember where they came from then my fiancee reminded me that her old roommate brought them back from cuba 3 years ago when she was on a trip there. So anyway, these have been sitting in the drawer for about 3 years, completely forgotten and unfortunately unhumidified...but they look to be in good shape still, a lil delicate but hopefully ill be able to bring them back. Think they'll come back after so humi-rest and smoke good?

Yes, and if they were in sealed boxes, chances are the humidification level wasn't all that bad. At any rate, and just to be sure, three to nine months of aging in the proper environment will bring them back. It is possible, that if the humidity levels weren't up to snuff, they've already done a bit of aging, and lost some flavor and strength, but don't give up on them. Someday, before you know it, they will be good enough to smoke, and you can give us a report.

awesome, thats good to hear bloof...unfortunately the box isnt sealed, the cellophane was off and it has an open "viewing window" so you can see a portion of the sticks in the box...nevertheless i look forward to rehabilitating these guys and see how they are...ill def remember to let ya'll know how they turn out

Good things come to those who wait - that is for sure on this one!! :D :D

In all seriousness, I have the perfect set up to age them in. 68 on the lower shelves, and 62% on top. We start them on the top, and work their down until it is time to go. Hell, they may even want to bring some frieds home with them!!! I can see it now...........Ryan and Karens Cigarwannacomeback camp. Drop your children off to me, and I will send them home real gentleman. Hell, they might even marry!!

side note- I store all my cigars at 62%

Capt if you add a tray of beads or Cat litter to the top shelf it will even out your rh - that and a couple small fans!

CC, I do have a small fan at the top of the humidor. I dont mind the range of humidity, especially since I smoke most at 63%. Like you said, I age cigars around 68-70%, but I dont think they smoke that great around that mark.
