Sorry I haven't been posting much, lately. After hanging out with The Colonel and Barcochris I thought I'd let the rest of you know what I've been up to. I'm quiting my job and my last day at work is tomorrow. I've been training my replacement and getting ready for my new job that starts next week.
I've been really bad at sending out birthday packages. I'm really sorry. I'll get those out as soon as possible.
My weekends have been really busy. I've been working on my landscaping in my back yard. I'm converting it to a Xeriscape. I moved into a house that had a lawn IN THE DESERT! I'm replacing it with native and low water use plants. I'm also setting up a rain water harvesting system. So far I've been using mostly grey water.
And, yesterday, I finally went through a training for The Samaritans.

It's a Faith based and Conscience based group that offers humanitarian aid to migrants lost in the desert. I've been volunteering with these folks for a few months now but, I finally got to go through the official orientation. These people are amazing. They literally save lives every day.
I'm also involved with a progressive film production collective. We produce documentary films. I was a film major in college and this is my creative outlet.
And, I volunteering with Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation. They're having their 20th anniversary celebration next month with a Jell-o wrestling fund raiser. It's gonna be tons-o-fun.
So, forgive me and my absence. I miss y'all and promise not to be a stranger.
