I got kind of burned out on cigar books since most of them were so basic and all said the same thing or where way to hard up on matters that were more opinion than fact.
I have spent A LOT of time trying to track down a quality book that spends more time talking about more advanced cigar topics, like aging, maturation, storage, etc. Not just the surface stuff, but a deep look into the world of cigars.
Folks the search is over. "An Illustrated Encyclopedia of Post-Revolution Havana Cigars" is my new bible! I am not exagerating. It took me a while to track down a copy, but I got some help from some folks on this forum (thanks CC). In fact when I found them, I bought a bunch and they will be on Cigar.com under our books section hopefully next week. They are pricey but boy is it worth it.
I have never seen such complete and in depth coverage on some of the most detailed topics. From what I understand, not many of copies of this book were actually printed. While its focus is on cuban cigars, many of the topics transcend into things that apply to all cigars.
All I can say is, get your hands on a copy of this book. In two weeks I have not been able to set it down. Whereever you go though, expect to pay well upwards of $100.00
Anyone else have a copy of this???
