Last night I was invited by a buddy to go to a Springsteen tribute concert at Carnegie Hall. After a great dinner at Mickey Mantle's we headed over and listened to about 20 different artists do versions of his songs (some of the acts were downright AWFUL!)

At the end of the night - guess who appeared.....

Springsteen himself!

What a great night - haven't been to one of his concerts in years. He was tremendous (except when Ronnie Specter came out and made an idiot of herself).

Awesome! While I can't stand his politics, his music is phenomenal. That had to have been a sweet show!

sounds like a great night kevin, funny though b/c my wife and her mom ate at mickey mantles last night as well, i suspect probably right around the time you were there, funny coincedence

No politics at the concert - the way I like it!

The cool part is that he played the song that I first remembered hearing at my first concert back in the day. LOL - wayyyyy back in the day!

They are already posting some of the concert on Youtube - crazy world.

Glad to keep he kept his political views to himself. We saw him a few years ago and it was easily one of the worst concerts I've ever seen for that reason alone.

Cool that you got to see him and have fun at the same time!
