first of all   Welcome brother, you have found the right zoo, so pull up a chair, and strap yourself in, its a wild ride.

Second, you guys aren't supposed to talk about those other cigars, but there are plenty of VERY good Domician, Honduran, and others that can be discussed at great length. Once you have been here a while, and done some trading, and been in the PIF's, sometimes those other cigars just seem to find their way to you.

Check out some of the older threads here, there is a lot of good reading. Please don't take offence to what you might read here about the Macanudos, they aren't for everyone, but if you like them that is OK!!!!

Welcome again!!

I agree, welcome!

Smoke what you like. However, don't be afraid to try something once.

I drink Budweiser. I like Budweiser. I will continue to drink Budweiser.

Bloof does not like Budweiser. Poor Bloof…

i like cigars and beer with taste
macadoodee and bud were made for each other... boring and without taste.
im not one to say what others like though.

I actually have had the porofino. It was a nice light smoke. It was one of the best cigars I have had ....after only smoking for a few weeks. I find much more enjoyment out of Fuente, Hoyo, and Cusano to name a few. As much as I love all of these brands I have a hard time calling any cigar "perfect." Its the differences that I enjoy noticing.

On the other hand, maybe every cigar, that when finished, I have enjoyed is perfect.

People that like smoke - used to smoke cig's but
gave them up - often find a cigar a better choice.
Learning how to smoke, but not inhale takes practise.
I find Non-Cig smokers often learn to smoke cigars faster.
Anyway -
Mac- Is the a place many people start.
A lot of old timers are brand loyal where new people want choice
& try new things for years & or the rest of their life.
Still - manytimes the old friend is the best to talk to

Try the cigar of the month club!
I'm bad at suggesting cigars - I fly below the radar

or for even less of a commitment...
go to your local shop and tell them what you like and ask for one that is simaler to what you like and one that is the opposite of what you like and ask for one half way between.
you may surprise yourself
and give them a price range. if you dont want to blow a bunch of cash on smokes you may not like top out at like 3-5 a stick. but try em all.
I know i like a more full flavor cigar, but if someone says "here try this its very mild" im going to try it. its just a great idea to try them all.

May I suggest a path that will help ease you into more full bodied cigars? I suggest trying these in order to get your palate seasoned (for lack of a better term) and not break your wallet.

5 Vegas Gold (may I suggest both the robusto and the Torpedo)
Cusano 18 (once again I like the robusto size here but any size will do just fine)
Sol Cubano Connecticut (any size will do but I like the toro)
Arturo Fuente Hemmingway series Short Story (a great cigar for a sunday morning with a cup of Joe)
Cigar.com cameroon robusto
CAO L'anniversary Cammeroon Robusto
Sol Cubano Maduro Toro
Punch Gran Puro Rancho
Padron 2000 Maduro (one of my favorite cigars, Padron cigars are great)
CAO Brazilia Gol

After that you should be ready for any cigar you want to try.... well except for maybe some Camachos... even those can still kick my @$$.
