I picked up a Cohiba Red Dot Toro in a Tube today - this may be one of the stupidest questions posted - but I should just set the tube aside for when I am going to smoke it and store it naked in the humidor - right?

That's up to you, if you leave it in the tube, personally I'd take the cap off and let breathe a little...There's no right or wrong to this one...

Some say there are benefits to aging in tubes, but I don't have much experience in that...some else around here???

I usually just take the cap off, unless the tube is bulky and takes up too much space.

I have enough room in both of my humidors for it so I will just uncap it then. Let me ask one more question - one humidor has an RH of 6t4 and the other is 67 - which one would you suggest I put it in? I want to make sure I really get the best out of this stick.

Thanks.

I would think it would do better in the one at 67%. I keep my robustos between 67-68 and they smoke great.

That is definitely my FAVORITE cigar. :D To keep the cap on is personal choice, but I leave mine on. Due to the fact if you take the tube out of the humi, it could fall out of the tube if your not careful. If you do decide to leave the cap off, make sure you leave the cedar wrap on it. It will hold the moisture better, and keep the cigar snug should you keep the cap off. You can ditch the foam. Ryan

Thanks for all of the info - I am dying to break this baby out and smoke it. I think it will last a week at most before I break down.

If you read the Post on favorite cigar/drink combinations, you will find I like a glass of Grand Marnier on the rocks with this smoke. If you drink cognac (or scotch) you should try this combo. Good luck!
