The hills and the hollers
These is kind of a combination of a couple of different recipes, but trust me, it works!
1 1/2 lb ground turkey
¼ C Italian Bread crumbs
¼ C Finely Graded Parmesan Cheese
½ Green Pepper
½ Red Pepper
½ White Onion
Salt and Pepper to taist
Sliced Sour Dough Bread
Finely chop green and red pepper and white onion in food processor.
In large glass bowl add Turkey, Bread Crumbs, Parm Cheese, pepper and onion mix and salt and pepper to taste.
Mix well by hand and form into small patties.
Add olive oil to skillet (enough to coat pan)
When hot, add burgers to the pan and cook on medium-low heat until no longer pink in the middle (about 8-10 min per side)
Butter the bread and toast it in a toaster oven.
When you put the burgers on the bread, I like to separate the patties to cover the toast.
Serve burger on bread with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, mayo and mustard….or what ever you want on it!
I served collard greens with this dish for a health version of burger night.
Hope it works for you as it did for me
