What is up??? I got a call at 6am this morning from my mom telling me that we were under a tornado warning and that a tornado was confirmed on the ground headed our direction. The storm moved to our east and missed us but the damage and power-outages all around us is extensive as I type this. And just three weeks ago we had a major storm with a tornado that caused $1800 worth of hail damage to my truck. Anyhow, nothing wakes a person up quicker than knowing you and your family are in danger. What a way to start a day.

I know its the season but there are more tornados this season than I can remember. There seems to be more and more natural disasters occuring. I don't mean to sound like a doomsdayer, but what is going on?

Tornadoes in the south, flooding in Maryland, wildfires on the West coast, Massive Cyclone in the Far East, a 7.8 earthquake in China! What a way to start the summer!

EVERYTHING is global warming... didnt you know that? even this past april, being the coldest in something like 20 years, is caused by global warming. its getting colder because of global warming!!!

Glad everything is ok and you are unhurt. It appears that we are now undergoing a period of Global Cooling which spurs these tornadoes. This will only last 10-12 years and then we are back to Global Warming. This is per the experts. How they know that the la Nina flow etc will only last 10-12 years and why they did not know this a year ot two ago is beyond me. But wait - Here he comes, riding in a Prius- The great Al (PT Barnum) Gore to save the day. Oops - there he goes on a private jet burning 100's of gallons of jet fuel to a conference is Switzerland to tell us all how bad we(Americans) are. Sorry, my head's about to explode with all this Global warming crap. Get the Oil Drills out!

Don and Flagman, thank you very much. Coincidentally, last night Cheryl was at chior practice and said that she just heard that we were under another Tornado Warning. I looked at weatherbug, and sure enough, we had a massive storm coming toward us. Luckily the bulk of the storm went just south of us and all we got was rain and high wind. Two tornado warnings within 13 hours. Makes a mans blood pressure spike!
