I got a nice delivery from from a family friend today. I got 40 lbs of Haddock fillets and 20 lbs of scollop's fresh off the boat. Made a Fish chowder for dinner Almost nothing better then fresh chowder on a day when the temp never went above 6. I will be spending a few hours tomorrow wrapping about half the scollop's in bacon and freezing them on sheet pans prior to bagging them for for storage. This way you can grab a few handful's to put on the grill when wanted..

Man, to live in a state near water!!

You are one lucky guy there Travis!!

40lbs. of haddock. That would make a lot of fish and chips. I love fish and chips. Yummy.

The missus' brother in law is up in Alaska and at one point brought us a ton of fresh/frozen halibut. Not 40lbs :) but plenty.

One of my impromptu recipes: Cubed, sauteed with coconut rum and loose chai tea, served with basmati or long grain rice.

Man, grilled bacon wrapped scallops. Sounds beautiful.

Sounds great, all this seafood. One good thing about where I live in Michigan, it's not too hard to go and catch a few good sized rainbow trout, gut them and throw them on a grill within an afternoon. Now thats fresh fish!

I have Salmon pens about 6 miles from my house and few friends that work there. I can go get a nice 10 to 15 lb salmon anytime I want. We also have a oyster farm in Eastport about 45 min drive but well worth the trip when the urge hits.

Cloudy; not to bust balls, but rainbow trout ain't seafood.

Great point Phish. I tend to consider everything that comes out of water to be seafood, thanks for the correction. For being such a good sport about getting my balls busted I expect some qhohogs with my next PIF or F&G win from you.
