Why does it take so long for things to ship from Hawaii?

It's driving me nuts. Every time I send something to someone here, it takes like 2 sometimes 3 weeks to get there!

I think that I'm going to have to bow out of any more PIF's, F&G's or box passes while I'm here. I hate to keep people waiting, it's not fair to them.

Speaking for me and probably many others, I don't think that matters. I'd just let folks who don't realize where you are know that it may take a little longer.

It wouldn't matter to me, FYI. Also, thanks for all you do!

...because "standard ground shipping" requires a very long drive accross the Pacific.

DD, where are you sending them? And which post office are you using?

My parents send me stuff all the time. They usually weigh 10-15 pounds, and sent via USPS first class mail. I get them in 2-3 days.
Honolulu (post office on corner of Pensacola and Lunalilo, under the H1 freeway) to CA.

I send them from the base post office.

DD, I feel your pain. I sent a package south a couple of weeks ago, and it just landed today - that is a long time to be waiting to hear if your precious cargo finally makes it.

Don't give up brother, our BOTL's understand!!

I wouldn't doubt it.

I resent you a pkg through a post office off base.

Let me know if you get that one.

I never did, but don't worry about sending another one. Thats a bit much. Maybe you should put tracing on them. Its only like 55 cents. I think it is a theft deterrent more than tracking.

I did on this last one.
I think you got them today.
