I may have gone the cheapest.

I got an Igloo Cube cooler and a couple of old desk letter racks. I stacked my cheaper cigars along the sides of the racks and put my better ones in the racks. I put the bundles and boxes on top.

I got a gallon of Ketosis Treat (AKA Propylene Glycol) at the Feed Store for $4.95 and a travel soap dish. I put a few cedar chips from the closet into one half of the soap dish and a diluted PG in the other half. A $6 temperature/hygrometer from Wally World tells me I hit 78%-81% humidity on my first try.

I can hold about 250 cigars in it for a grand total of $35. If I had room on my shelf for a bigger cooler I could hold more.

That is the wrong type of cedar & should be removed ASAP
use a cigar box or part of one if you feel you need cedar.

the way you frased that does it mean you can do a coolidor without cedar no problem?

Thanks for the warning

Thanks for the warning. I have Western Red Cedar here on my farm that I chip for odor & humidity control. I didn't think that Spanish Red Cedar made such a difference. Thank you for saving my smokes.

Do you know anywhere that I can get sheets of Spanish Red Cedar? I do leather work and would like to try my hand at lined cigar cases but have no clue where to find the cedar.

Thanks again for the warning.
