I smoked three of these yesterday.... I couldn't stop myself, they were awesome!! 'Unfortunately now I only have four left until reinforcements get here.....

Smoked these down to the nub!!

I'm going to need some longer "similar" smokes to make my blissful smoking experiences last a little longer.....

Anyone have some experience with the RyJ Churchills (cuban), and have you noticed any difference between the Tubes and the regular boxed? I am curious to know.

I recently bought a box of Monte Tubos because I had great experiences with them before, I almost went for the Monte #1's for that little extra length, but never smoked one....

With Cubans, do you notice a dfference with the Tubed smokes compared to the same smokes that aren't?

I have heard that the3 tubes can actually be beneficial, but I personally don't have too much experience with tubes compared to untubed....

It will probably be me!!!

I love the 'Smoka philosophy'. I've said this before, but...you're my hero!

Thor,

I love those PSD#4's, I smoke them a little more sparingly though. Have you tried the Bolivar Belicosa Fino's? They are worth visiting. They are better with more age on them that the PSD#4's. The PSD#4 gets a lot of play and attention because they are such a good smoke young. As I'm sure you are aware, most your Cubans are going to need humi time, and I'm talking years not months. You might also consider the H. Upman #2.

I don't have a lot of experience with the tubed smokes, but my understanding is the tubes purpose is for stability in aging. You can expect longer aging times with these cigars, but a more controled enviroment for the fermentaion process, and a more refined quality with proper aging. These may be something for the back shelf but not nessecerily something you want to purchase with the idea of smoking in the next 5-10 years.

hmm, thanks nmcowboy, that is why I love the PSD's, because I can smoke'em now...I have had the Upmann #2's and it's in line for a box purchase. I was thinking of the tubes for aging....and I'd like to have some sticks for ten years or more, depending on the variety...Bolivar Belicoso Fino's I have not had in a long long while, I may have only had one when I was like 16 in London....I do have a box of the Bolivar petit Coronas, and I really enjoyed the Royal Corona....I'll try the Belicoso Fino when I get a chance....

Another stick I have been meaning to try is the Ramone Allones Specially Selected....I've heard great things about those....I have so many to try, and the list just gets longer!

That is one great smoke. I had 1 left and would just stare at them for over 2 months until I found a box with some age on it for the right price.

I have had both the tubo on the romeo and the non tubo. Same cigar. IMHO

The H Upmann No. 2 is one of my special occassion smokes. Love those babies.
