I need help. There was a torpedo shaped cigar, very dark and foreboding looking, that Mr. Svenson and Thor gave away last year, originally called by a name we're not supposed to mention, but which eventually came to be called El Cobre. Well, I put all the unbanded, torpedo shaped cigars in Desk Top III, on top, thinking I'd be able to tell the El Cobre apart from the others, when it came time to summon the courage to smoke it.

Well, I think it was about a year ago that they gave it away, so I think I'm almost ready. The only problem is that now there are four such cigars sitting on that top row, large torpedos with with dark wrappers, almost the same shade, except for one but very close, but differing lengths, and similar, but not all similar ring gauges. I think if someone gave me the exact dimensions of the El Cobre I received, I could figure out which was which. I promised to do a review, and unless I figure it out, I may not be able to.

Sorry, but when it comes to stuff like this, it becomes Bloofy Meets Comedy Central. You can take a blond(e) out of the womb, but you can't take the blond(e) out of the brains.

:dunno: :duh: :dunno: :duh: :dunno: :duh: :flush: :help: :help:

Welp bloof I have long since smoked mine so I cannot measure it for ya. But I have a feeling Alex will chime in at some point with the needed information.

Enjoy!

Bloof, I'll write this slow, because I know you don't read fast. Get some plain white cigar bands, almost any large domestic vendor will have them. Write what the cigar is, and band it yourself, along with the date received.

Wow!!! They HAVE stuff like that? If I knew that years ago, I would have known what all those unbanded cigars, Cuban or otherwise, that I've smoked were, and who sent them to me.

Plain white cigar bands. What WON'T they think of next? They probably have them in Staples. :dunno: :duh: :duh: :duh:

I'm sure they do have them in staples, but I'd avoid those. The sharp pointy ends will perforate your wrapper, and ruin the cigar......

No, I meant the store Staples. You're pulling my leg anyway. Everyone knows who Staples is.

But does ANYONE know the dimensions of the El Cobre I received? Otherwise, I'll never be able to figure out which is which in Desk Top III.

The Great Dumboni strikes again!

 Onipodumb....i like that one :rotflmao:

I'm living proof that just because you're not blond, you can't be dumb. Dumb thing after dumb thing, year upon year, dang near 56 years' worth of dumb. And the older I get, the dumber I realize I am. My dad (who is 80 now) and I talked about this the last time I was there for a visit, and he said "Just wait. You don't know how dumb you can get."

So, Bloof, here's to us! Cheers, my brother.

Provided the dimensions of the torpedo haven't changed between preview and release, the cigar should be 6.5 x 52 Bloof.

THANK YOU!!! AT LONG LAST!!!

THERE IS A GOD!!! NO PUN INTENDED!!!

I'm going to measure them right now, and see which one is the El Cobre. Thank you, to . . .

the GOD . . .

of The Axe.

None measure up, but I did do a search   :duh: :duh: :duh: and found my original post. The one sent to me was 6x54. Going back to Desk Top III and find it now. Thanks for all the replies, and views. Yes folks, all I had to do was perform a search of the Cigars forum, using the term El Cobre, and presto, I found it among the posts. I know, I know, I could have done that in the beginning, but I gave you all a bunch of laughs, right? :duh: :duh: :help:
