I have been in search of great cigars for under 5 dollars. Currently my every day smoke is flor de oliva maduro robusto. Great, cheap little cigar, but I have grown a little tired of it and want to find more cheapies that are a good everyday cigar.

Ive been thinking about picking up the padron fumas. I love the 3000/5000/6000's. The 1926 is obviously one of the best cigars out there.

So how do the fumas rate for a cheap cigar?

I know it's right around $5 for most sizes and mentioned already here, but the Punch Rare Corojo is just a great cigar.

La Aroma de Cuba (I just ordered a box of Robusto) is a great deal for a excellent smoke.

I've gotta go check what cigar.com is charging for some of the others I typically smoke...

I myself like Honduran, and I found the best bang for my buck to be a cigar called Don Jose El Grande. It's a 8 1/2"X52 monster.

If I had to pick a favorite cigar under 5 bucks I would have to say the Fuente 858 Maduro.

i didnt like the maduro too much, the natural was better imho

I've found that the maduros with more than a year of age on them are much better than a relatively fresh one.

Rocky Patel Edge. Right on the border of 5 bucks depending on where you get 'em but worth the extra thirty or fourty cents. Otherwise the CAO MX2.

Really love those guys - I checked out the Cusano 18 Robusto (had been smoking the Toros) based on Calibus' recommendation - and he is right - the Robustos definitely have more flavor.
