A new tax began in July 2013. A friend working there reports that a $3 cigar at a B&M before the tax is now $ 5.

When I was in Florida, I learned that there is smoking in public places like bars, but if there is food being served at all, it is non-smoking. I believe that is statewide, but i dunno.
I just read that the new Illinois law forbidding a person to smoke in a private establishment has no exemptions. Therefore, the Big Smoke in Chicago has been cancelled. So much for freedom!
