Ok, so I get to the casino tonight and i pull out my first smoke...a Partagas Short CC from 2007, i light it up and then about 1/3 the way thru the wrapper bursts....i keep smoking it, it didn't affect the burn too much, at least not enough for me to put it out. After i smoke my way throuh that one i pull out a DCM Toro...when i got into the final 1/3 of the cigar the same thing happened, the wrapper split...the humi was at 67% when i pulled these out around 4pm today and then i kept them in my 2 finger pouch until i smoked them tonight...can somebody help me address this issue? I think I told you all the relevant info...o yea, the humi is in my bedroom so it's room temp or right around 70 degrees...if you guys need more info just ask, thanks in advance!

This is usually caused by the RH in the area where you are smoking being lower then the cigar is. What happens is that the wrapper begins to shrink faster than the rest of the cigar causing it to split. This is very common during colder weather. If you where indoors and the heat was on the air would be very dry and this would most likely be the cause. Hope that helps

thanks NJ...yea, i was inside with the heat on....stupid michigan

Same thing happens to me during the winter months but once it starts getting warm and I am out side its not to bad and in the summer months it rarley happens. Hey Cusccrstud21 are at the 4 winds casino? I tried that one a month back and its better then any on the ons in north west IN. I don't know if its becasue its new or if the ones in NW IN have very small smoking sections becides the tables or none at all.

yea, i was at the four winds! i loved it...me, my dad, and my dad's gf went there to eat, drink a lil, and then gamble a lil to celebrate me getting a REALLY sweet internship...i really enjoyed being able to sit wherever and just relax and smoke
