A question about a coolidor

Looking to starting up a coolidor but it's winter and the need for coolers is a bit low. Now I do have a cooler that has been used for the obvious.

Is there a method to clean this bad boy to hold the sticks or should I twiddle by thumbs and wait for a band spanking new cooler?

if ur interested i have a 100+ qt cooler that i never even unpacked...pm me if u want it...all im asking is to cover my costs and shipping.... ($70 total)[/list]

I would asy let your nosse tell you if it is good or not. If before you do a good cleaning and you can smell anykind of funk or mildew I would not ever use it. Coolers are plastic and it will absorb the aroma's of what is in it. Best bet is brand new to ensure you do not have any unwanted odors. Even though it is winter you should still be able to get a cooler at your Local Walmart or Target for a good price. I found a 56qt cooler for 25 bucks at Walmart and it works great; plus now it smells like cigars.

Yea I went to Wallyworld and got nada. Even when to Target, Sams and got a big fat zero.

Reading the other posts I don't want to take the change.

Thanks

I scrubbed mine out with baking soda and water a couple of time then rinsed and let set to dry a few hours . Worked for me, at least once.Been using it for a couple of months and is working great.

golfcigarjunkie,

I'm just typing what i've seen. Try a search and you'll probably see those who have an abundance of sticks stashed in a plastic humidor. I'm sure someone won't be able to help it and post a pic. Using old boxes, some add spanish cedar strips to keep the humidity. Most use an Igloo since it keeps a good seal. Making do with what I got.

I have one and eveb though its white trash I love it!!!!!!!! lol!

i would rather go with a humidor than a coolerdor but there is nothing wrong with a coolerdor. i have thought about getting one in hopes that the wife wouldnt find out just how many cigars i have but eventually she would.

she isnt happy with the amount that i already have.

I converted an Avanti wine cooler into a humidor.
