Ok here is a total newb question. How to you pronounce the following brands:

AVO
CAO
5 Vegas - (I have heard you should say "cinco vegas")

Thanks! - I just don't want to look stupid when I go into the local shop!

I'm not too bright but I pronounce:

AY-VOH
C A O
and Five Vegas

I coudl be wrong though!

hhmm. This is an intersting question. I never really thought about it until you mentioned it, but I guess I could be calling these by the wrong names all the time. I have not gotten any strange looks from my local shop owner, but he IS a nice guy...lol

Kelvin, I have been calling them AH-VOHs... It will be interesting to see what the "proper" ways to say these are

This is fun!

AAA VEE O

C AAA O

and 5 Vegas, just like it sounds.

By the way Kelvin, I just noticed, you joined this forum on my birthday!

AVO should be pronounced AH-VO
CAO C.A.O.
And 5 Vegas, is Cinco Vegas

But, that is just me. I know Macallan knows all this stuff.

I once heard CAO pronounced as "COW" :p

I pronounce AVO as "AH-VO"
CAO as "C-A-O"
and 5 Vegas as Five Vegas although I could be wrong on that one.

while were on the subject, how do you pronounce "corojo", i say it like "corogo", but the lady at the shop said it like "coroho" whicch one is right?

in Spanish a "J" sounds like an "H"

AUGH! - VO! always jump in the air between breaths.
CAO - is COW and you should Moo (secret in thingy)

CC, you told me to spin around on one leg between breaths - you were trying to make me look even more foolish to the guy at the shop.

By the way I plan on smoking a GOF for my birthday this year, and next year its going to be an Opus X or a Cuban - so you guys can all join me if you want!
