So I recently purchased my first humidor (120 count), and I am in the process of seasoning it using the 84% Boveda packs. Now the Boveda site says 14 days, but the guy at the local shop said it would take closer to 5. Hoping he was right I put 4 of those bastards in there and went ahead and ordered the cart I had put together online. Now the delivery date for my cigars is far sooner than originally anticipated by the site and my humidor is sitting at about 64% (which with 84% packs makes me think it’s not quite ready). If these cigars get here and the humidor seems to still be in the process of seasoning how can I keep these boxes fresh in winter until the humidor is ready (potentially another 7 days)? I guess secondary question would be is this normal seasoning with the boveda packs? To answer some of the anticipated initial questions, hygrometer is calibrated, it is digital with Bluetooth so I can check it on my phone so I have only opened the humidor once to add it in when it arrived (and after calibration), and I’m almost to a week in the seasoning process.
