I don't know what cookies are, except for the crumbly kind that the blue monster shoves into his grill, but I was able to re-register no problem at all.

Whoa. I assure you, sir, the core participants are indeed different. Unfortunate it is so, but they are.
It's not open to me. I've tried everything, including working with Internet Explorer as opposed to Firefox, and it still won't work. I really don't have time for this, as I am at the end of a very bad day, in a very bad week, in a very bad month. I may not be around for a while, either here or there, IF I can get on, that is. I may be lurking, but not posting much.
Congratulations to Cigar Wise for getting back up and running, and I'm truly sorry for what happened while I was gone today. Seems like crap always happens when I'm gone. I'd like to point out that I started the other thread as a gesture of good will toward the HCF. I happen to feel that the HCF should be welcome here any time they want, and I'd like to point out that they behaved themselves with extreme dignity, especially after being baited more than once.
I think that speaks for itself, for anyone who had any trepidation. Too bad some people can't let sleeping dogs lie, or at least take things up in a more private matter. If you want clean forums, then do your part to be the bigger man/woman, and don't start sh_t if no one has started anything with you. See you folks around, . . .

I am honestly having a very bad week, and bad month, in certain ways. That has nothing to do with anything here. Having said that, my only point about here is that anyone who has a problem with anyone, especially people who MOSTLY, but not exclusively, call ANOTHER board home, . . .
DO NOT BRING IT UP HERE!!! This is not a forum for you to air your gripes about other people in this world. If you have a problem with the HCF, we don't want to hear it. We have an HCF MEMBER HERE AS A MODERATOR!!! Chances are, if you DO have a problem with the HCF, it's only with one or two people.
GO TO CIGAR WISE AND SEND THEM A PM. When you come here, and the HCF is mentioned, don't go into your shpiel about "Dey Dun Me wRong." Maybe they did. Not everyone likes everyone's behavior at times. I think CC and Cee Dubya said it best:

SO, if you are here, don't go bashing people who are looking in, and are going to get back to other people, so they can come here to defend their friends en masse. That's not our problem, and it's NOT THE ENTIRE HCF'S PROBLEM, EITHER. So, BE THE BIGGER MAN, and keep it to yourself, keep the atmosphere congenial, and perhaps even, . . .
GET OVER IT!!! That was all I was saying. And for people who expressed trepidation, both privately and publicly, no problem. The last time a member had a public problem with the HCF, because they brought something up here in a thread, which they should have just gone to the member(s) of the HCF which they had a problem with privately, sure, it got a little hairy here. And understandably, some people here got a little freaked out, because we've got a good thing going.
But just remember, the HCF are good folks, and by and large, notwithstanding certain SPECIFIC problems with ONLY CERTAIN people not getting along with others through the years, they are our friends. They have a wonderful web site, and just might be the most passionate bunch about cigars, particularly ISOM's (Island South Of Mamaroneck :neer: :rotflmao:umpkin: :mrgreen: ) on the internet. They're passionate about a lot of things. They like the crossover factor between our forums, and they know how to cross over and behave themselves in Mayberry. Remember, BOTH TIMES that stuff started here, it WASN'T any member of the HCF who started it.
Hope this clears THAT matter up.
Now, back to me, because after all, IT'S ALLLLL ABOUT MEEEEE!!!!

I am NOT leaving, and I have no problems here. I've just had a bad week, and in light of things I've said recently about having to devote more time to my dad and his situation, in addition to a myriad of other factors, I have a (at least temporarily) shrinking time budget. This week, I've been crazy busy, wasn't supposed to go to Manhattan today, but I had to, and I've already been informed that I'm working both nights at the firm this weekend, because they'll be shorthanded, and already know they'll need me.
That's all, a hugely busy schedule, only getting more busy, so I wanted everyone to know that if you don't see me around here that much in the next few days, perhaps even through next week and thereafter, there's nothing wrong. My "absence" will only be due to a suddenly much busier work schedule :thumbsup: , and increasing family responsibilities, which don't begin and end with my dad's situation. There's other stuff that's been going on for over a year, no point getting into it all. You all have your own stuff, and you all have the wisdom to understand the big picture. Life just gets in the way sometimes.
And last, but not least, I WILL be making the time to post about something exciting that happened in the bourbon realm to me today, so there will be at least one new post in the near future, maybe even tonight or tomorrow about THAT.
So, thanks again to all concerned, including those who sent the PM's, but everything's fine. I am also truly glad, that despite a speed bump or two (not started by them), the visits by the HCF that were in addition to our normal activity from HCF members, went very well. Thanks to them ALL for looking in, for those who cross over, frequenting both forums, and I'm very, very glad that Cigar Wise is back up and running.
