It's not open to me. I've tried everything, including working with Internet Explorer as opposed to Firefox, and it still won't work.

IF I can get on, that is. I may be lurking, but not posting much.

Seems people can read without logging in.

But

Everyone needs to register again.
There is a confirmation letter sent to your email address
that needs to be used to gain posting access.
You only have to do this once.
If the problem continues contact me & I will get
everything made right.

Nahhhhhhhhhh, not even read without loggin in. This is what I get, and yes, I go to http://www.cigar.com, click on the forum link, and then . . .

CC,
I reregistered, but cannot sign in, with each attempt I am redirected to the sign in screen. I did not get a conformaton letter so I thought there was a problem with the registration. I attempted to register a second time and it said I was already registered.

CC I have to go to .com, although after logging in it shows .net in the address bar. If I try to go strait to .net it does not work.

I'm sure they will have the problem fixed in time, but its hard to be without Bloofington

Used the address CC suggested two posts above, and I'm still getting this, using Firefox:

And when I use Internet Explorer, I get some kind of User Administrator login page, which of course does nothing for me.

Believe me, I'd LOVE to be over there. Although I don't have much time right for posting right now, I'd still like to catch up on some reading over there.

Hey bloof, I had the same problem...

I had to delete all my cookies by going into through my computer. I tried to "remove cookies" through firefox, but it didn't delete them. Just do a search on your hard drive for cookies, delete them, then try. Now mine is working fine. You will have to re-register though.

Else you could use IE (which I hate) but seemed to work fine.

I'll try when I get home tomorrow, if I have time, but I don't have high hopes. I may have to wait until Monday night, because I might not have the time until then. Thanks for the tip.

People are asking about you over there Bloof

"Hey where's Bloof"

Well, maybe I can get through during the 22nd Century. I won't have time to try all the other tricks that I haven't yet tried, until at least tomorrow night. And trust me, there's nothing I haven't tried yet. I believe it has something to do with me having Windows ME at home instead of XP. Didn't make a difference before the boards blew up, but I'll bet it's the difference now. I can't afford XP right now, so . . .

I'll be at Cigar Wise when The Lord feels like letting me on. :dunno:

I'm as close to 100% sure that it isn't a cookies issue that I can be. I have lost several web sites within the past year. I believe it is a Windows ME issue. I got on to Cigar Wise from work last night, but didn't really have the time to register, and what's the point since I'm hardly ever at the firm any more? I mean, sure, as the years go by, I'm always taking some percentage of my income from that job, but by and large, there's no point in registering on a web site that I can't access from home. And I'm convinced that Cigar Wise's new "certificate," whatever the heck that is, since that seems to be the issue time and again, is just not recognizable by Windows ME.

I know, I know, I should never have gotten ME in the first place, but that was then, and this is now, and I had to get the best possible deal I could on a computer. We're talking five years of reliable operation, outside of the fact that I need to find the money for XP. What I'd really like is the whole new Office Suite, but forget that. Talk about no money for something!!!

So, like the old song goes . . .

"Tell all the gang at Forty Second Street,
That I will soon be there,
Tell them of how I'm yearning,
To mingle with the old time crowd, . . ."

:dunno:

I still can't get in either Bloof, and I don't run ME. I think there was some kind of glich with my registration. I've sent a few e-mails requesting assistance but have not received any response.

I can't even get to the part where one registers.

I guess you and I are destined to be a couple of lonely cowboys . . .

On BrokeButt Mountain.
