5 Vegas Series A question

How do the Vagas A compare to the Vagas gold? The gold is ok tasting, but has a real skunky smell.

Thanks
Martin

It's like comparing apples to oranges. Two different ends of the spectrum. The Gold has to be one of the mildest smokes I have had to date. Although it does have flavor, compared to other mild smokes.

hello, just toss in my thoughts. just received an order and had the Artisan in the order, smoked it yesterday. ring was a little bigger than I think I like, 50 is probably my limit but good even burn, nice ash and overall very nice. I am still trying different ones to see what I like but would probably get another Vegas A but smaller ring

I ordered the Anomaly size.

HOLY CRAP. These lil guys are strong as hell. Got one hell of a nic buzz going on. Just got back from picking them up, smoked one on the way home.

That's a great cigar, In fact I rated them in the Vertical Tasting for the Newsletter, what was it, September....I think

Yup. I gotta learn how to light a cigar properly, Im starting to get annoyed.

I light the cigar properly from what I though, and its burning well and even...and then suddenly, the wrapper and binder stop burning, and just the filler is burning. smoked 1/4 of the lil guy before I realized it.

That probably has more to do with you smoking it right out of the shop. Most shops keep their RH high and it makes cigars finicky when they leave. A good rest in a constant humidor should have the little guys smokin' straight.

Ahh. How long should I let them rest before smoking then?

Two weeks is the norm I think. That's not mandatory, its just good practice to get best out of your cigars. I'll admit I rarely do that if I only buy a few singles. But usually I'll buy a few of each and have one in the humi for awhile. Keeps the stock going up too!
