Another game, Total run around

The medicine wheel at Majorville Canada is still working. It is about 5000 years old. It has no moving parts, but it is still operating in its originally intended manner.

In the Ljubljana marshes, Slovenian archaeologists last year uncovered a wooden wheel (Oak). Experts have established that the wheel is between 5,100 and 5,350 years old, which makes it the oldest wooden wheel ever found. There is a chunk missing from the wheel. Most archaeologists think the wheel was invented about 6000 years ago.

thats a really cool story. even with upkeep the clock would eventually need a replaced part. even with oil there would be some metal to metal contact. after 100 years i would expect SOMTHING to break.

In a wristwatch perhaps, a clock just sits there, god man, have you no faith in craftsmanship and proper maintanance, I forgot to mention, after the first 50 years, the clock started keeping pretty poor time, I do know that Tom was working on a way to change out the balance wheel with out the clock stopping but lost touch prior to that happening.

that's it?

Not quite, Although Freedom Guns did list the actual oldest wheel, It hasn't worked in a long time, mythological, celestial and ceremonial wheels do not meet the criteria we're looking for, so.......It looks like CastleCrest has provided the answer that best fits the question, in a round about way.
