As American as Bic Pens

VINCE!!!

BUDDY!!!

FOLKS, DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO THIS IS?!?!?!!?????!!?!????

This is none other than a decorated Vietnam Waw Vetrin, an owner of 87 humidors containing 59,736 cigars, a bar stocked with 537 different single malt scotches, and HIS VERY OWN RADIO STATION!!!

WELCOME VINCE!!! Great to have you aboard. Looking forward to seeing your handsome face Roun' These Here Parts Agin!!!

After sampling beers halfway around the world, I have some definite faves!! These are in no particular order...

Killkenny (like a lighter Guinness...and I have yet to find it in the States)
Shiner Bock (only available here in Lone Star Land)
Henry Weinhard's Private Reserve (only available in the West...and I miss it!!!)
Blackened Voodoo (GREAT dark beer out of New Orleans)
Foster's Lager (I love it...but don't order it Down Under...it's like asking for a PBR Stateside!)
XXXX (Another terriffic Aussie beer)
Coors Original (My favorite bar has $1.50 pints all the time...great for going out before payday hits)
Guinness (Fave bar has it on tap...YUM!)
Red Dog (Good cheap beer)
MGD
Tecate (My Mexican fave)

There are some I avoid though...

Tiger (Asian brand...BAD hangovers)
Budweiser (Rice??? In beer???)
Natty Light (Only drinkable after buzzed enough on something else that you don't taste it anymore)
PBR (ditto!)

JMHO...I could be wrong

Dave

Bloof, you do me great honor with your kind intro, but I do not own the station I just work there, I am a vet Yes , GO NAVY !, but my decorations are trivial compaired to the real heros who have thier name on the wall, lost count on the cigars humidors & scotch, glad I found this forum ! Enjoy, Vince

Ah c'mon Vince, I was just tryin' to give you that big Vaudevillian build up. Okay folks, he doesn't exactly own the radio station, and I may have added five or six cigars to the true total, but I hear that from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to noon, he owns the airwaves!!! I understand youse, or you, or y'all, according to what part of the country you're from, can hear him on WMBA-1460 in Pittsboigh. If you're actually from the area, then yinze can hear him also. :D

We dont broadcast on the internet but we do have a station web site http://www.wbvp-wmba.com
we have photos & a forum page there for any comments & ideas , enjoy, Vince

I was wondering when someone was going to mention that. I wasn't sure if the original title was meant to be a joke.

I had planned to say some thing about it, in my first posting, but I forgot, maybe its because I am getting older ? naaaa that cant be it, maybe the fact I have had a few to many today, , heavens no, , I havent had more than I usually do , could it be , I am just stupid? Yea thats it ! hahahaha
Enjoy, Vince

Hey Vince, get a load of Ed! Is that one of the handsomest looking guys you've ever seen, or what? He's got quite a feisty reputation too, but I hear his bark is worse than his bite. :D

Kind of reminds me of my brothers sister in law ! hahaha
Enjoy, Vince

I can't believe that it took that long before someone commented on that.

I thought it appropriate given the subject. ;) After all, everyone knows that beer is an American invention.

Bloof (or should I say The Great Dumboni?) I just want you to know that cheap flattery will.... get you everywhere!

I am eazy and cheap, according to my wife.

it would be far easier to list the beers i do NOT like. i like most beers. it doesn't have to be expensive to be good. keystone, for instance, is a good summertime beer. it tastes good, quenches your thirst, yet you can drink a bunch without getting twisted off.

my everyday beer is miller genuine draft.
i spring for shiner bock if i am feeling the need for something special. shiner bock and a good cigar, i am happy as a clam at high tide.

i wouldn't drink budweiser if it was free, yet i like michelob, another anhauser bush product, a whole bunch.
natural light is another that i would have to be near death from dehydration before i would drink it again.

My favorite beers are Honey Brown and Guinness Draught. I love Honey Brown's smooth and sweet taste, and Guinness' smooth texture and coffee taste. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I'm a fan of Busch but when I want something a little different I get a Boulevard Wheat. YUMMY!!!!!!!!!

Here in Ohio I tend to like just about anything from Thirsty dog or Great Lakes. Old Leghumper is about my favorite.

Like RetiredSgt, I too believe that Guinness is the Necter of the Gods... and ask for it at every bar I go to (but, alas, usually to no avail).

However, there is one brew that IMO is even better then Guinness ~ Youngs Oatmeal Stout.

Took me sometime to get the name as I only remembered what the can looked like, but after a diligent Web search I found it. Hell even my wife and Fernando ("That looks like 3 day old coffee!") likes it.

Very difficult to find. Though most shy away from Stouts (the weak & faint of heart) I recommend everyone try this beer. Veeeeerrrrrrry smoooooooth, light oatmeal after taste. Ummmmmmmm!!!!

I'd love to get my hands on some of that stuff, it's GOTTA be something good if it's better than Guinness. My God, a beer that's actually better than Guinness? I never thought it was possible! Is it better than Honey Brown? And yeah, stouts aren't for wussbags.

If you think Young's Oatmeal Stout is good, wait until you try Samuel Smith's, another English company, incredible flavor and body.
