I used to use a six-drawer Thompson Humidifier. Had nothing but problems after seasoning it multiple times and using the correct humidification solution and holders. But it could have been a wooden door problem.
So I then purchased a Cyclopentane Humidifier that has 3 trays and holds 150 cigars. I didn't realize when I purchased it that it only keeps the temperature proper but does nothing for humidity. So I have had it since last December and have had issues with humidity. I have seasoned it twice and tried many bundles of Bovdea packets. Humidity will not stay constant.
I finally rewired it so I could keep the internal fan on with only a tray of distilled water and then it wants to climb to RH of 76+. Then I put a timer on it to turn the fan on and off at different times. I can only achieve a RH of every hour and a half of going from RH of 55 to 75.
So my main question is RH of 75 too much every hour and a half? I read to give up....Please need advice, but I have tried a lot of seasoning, solution and packets.
