I've got 20 to whittle down to 10. Perhaps the only one on your list may be Apocalypse Now. A few that come to mind are Goodfellas, Last Embrace, Once Upon a Time in America and the 1939 Hitchcock version of the 39 steps. I'll have to take a look at those 20 and make a list.

All of the movies you guys have mentioned are very very good, but you forgot two classics.
Laurence of Arabia, and Bridge Over the River Quai.

I forgot one too... The Pianist

Another one comes to mind: Treasure of the Sierra Madre and the old silent film The Lost World and Gunga Din and I'm sure there are many more. Kinda like cigars- different tastes, but some just appeal to just about everyone.

and- 2001 and I did kinda like Big Trouble in Little China

A lot of them are older films, so now if you see one coming on the tube, you will know what will be a posssibly great movie to watch.
