Green in the Face?

First cigar when I was 13. What I remember is a Montecristo #4 (things are a little shady here because I don't entirely remember). Middle school graduation with my pals outside. I've had a lot of JD to drink that night and wasn't exactly feeling good as it stood. Lit up the cigar... tried to smoke it....threw up. Yeah...that was fun. I still like the #4 though even with the bad memories.

First cigar I ever smoked was a Cuban Punch double corona.
Wife and I were staying at Moms vacation house in Mexico, close to Puerto Neuvo, and we had just finished a huge lobster dinner. Went back to the house and fired up a movie and the cigar. I had never smoked any tobacco of any type in my life but smoke it I did, all 8" right down to the burning of my fingertips at the end. Didn't take long till I noticed that something wasn't right. Told the wife that I felt very sick and that the lobster must have been bad. "I feel fine" says the better half who then adds, "hey you're really sweating and you look really pale" I barely made it into the bathroom for a monumental gut cleansing session. As is the nature of the human beast, I then became an avid cigar smoker.
Hey if it doesn't kill you it'll only make you stronger right?

Fall/Winter of 1955:
Location: Wilkes-Barre, PA
Situation: Visiting GrandDad, GrandMother and her Brother- The Famous " Uncle John".
Uncle John was a 1915-1918 major league baseball player who left for WW1 and injured his leg in France.Never could play at major League level again but played on local teams that played against Ruth,Paige, Cobb and others.Uncle John was a special character in Wilkes- Berra. For a living- after WW1- he worked in the coal mines. He retired and in the year 1955 he would visit the local bar every day and meet his coal mine buddies for a few shots and a beer. I loved Uncle John. Naturally, Uncle John took me to visit his friends. At nine years old- I had a baby shot and a baby beer.My first time, it came back through my mouth and nose. All laughed and wiped my face with a bar towel- terrible, but I was with Uncle John. I stood tall and asked for another. One hour later I was drunk as hell as was Uncle John, and we both wobbled up the street to Grandma's. When we got there- she put Uncle John to bed- her favorite younger brother and me also. I was 9.
The next morning was hell- but Uncle John and I did it again.
Uncle John was my favorite- God bless him.
I even had a occasional hand roll cigarrette.
