Has the world gone mad?

Jhope your in!! and the last one in!!! My madness is over for the time being unless some pretty hefty trading wants to go on!!

Excellent post, E-Man. You covered all the salient points about the Opus X cigar that anyone could think of. And as for that offer, you're a five star guy, and I'd like to see what the five fortunate souls think of their Opus X, once they've had a chance to smoke it. And by all means, in order to REALLY get the gist of the whole Opus X experience, as The Man Who Blocks Out The Sun and Occasionally The Moon said, by all means, do it in what for you personally would be "ideal tasting conditions," whatever that activity might be.

Well the generosity of this group has been seen time and time again, and in many cases, I feel the need to give back to this group as much as I have taken over the year or so I've been on here, so, this is just one way.

I appreciate the kind words though Bloof, you always have a way with them word thingy's!

not to double post here, but i just had a really good question about my previously long post

What is a BOTL?

that term is used around in some of the other forums I've been on, it stands for Brother Of The Leaf, of course there is SOTL as well, you do the math!

This usually is used to describe someone who you feel is a mentor or a person who has allot of good information and is a contributor to your group or community here. I like to think of a BOTL as someone who tries to give sound advice by offering an opinion, but encourages the person to seek out their own meaning. This was critical to my developement as a cigar smoker was some of these folks (CC,Bloof,Smoka,Alex,Axe) these guys led me to the info, or gave me suggestions in what they enjoyed, and I went down the path and made my own descisions. I might add that not one of these guys suggestions turned me wrong, or to any dog rockets!!!

Hope that helps....Yoou can look under the good traders and upstanding folks sticky to get a reference on who here feels are upstanding BOTL and SOTL's!!

Back to the original topic...

I've smoked Macanudos in the past, but haven't had one in a good long time, and the last time I did (~1.5 years ago) I was quite drunk. (bachelor party) The constant bashing made me curious of course, so I went out and bought a couple. A "regular" and a "robust". I'm smoking the normal one right now. I think it's a Hyde Park (5.5x49), but I forgot & didn't measure it before burning at least an inch off of it.
I have to agree with the general consensus. This thing SUCKS. It just has no flavor at all. The only positive thing I can say about it is it seems to be rolled quite well and burns evenly.
I'll try the "robust" next and report back.

I had my last Macanudo today after work and I just have to agree (with just about everyone) that this thing really does not have any flavor! I was half way through before I could taste anything. The bad thing is that it tasted chared like old cigarettes dumped in my mouth. I will never buy one again.

Ok, I finished it. Well, not completely. It got worse somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3rds finished. Sort of a rotten, dank taste.
Then I smoked the Robust. That one wasn't bad. The robust part was a joke though- that thing was mild. At least it wasn't tasteless and didn't get nasty on me.
