Chicago - but dreaming of Havana
LGC is one of my favorite non-Cuban brand. At least they have always been good. I haven't purchased or smoked a lot of them lately. I have been working through the singles drawer as of late and this big guy has been standing out. I decided this afternoon with football would work well for this big old cigar. It's probably about 5 or 6 years old. The construction is right on. Pre-light draw is good. This cigar doesn't smell as strong as most LGCs, but considering it's 9 inches long maybe it's like the Cubans of similar size. They make the longer cigars a bit more mild since you'll be smoking it for a considerable time and there's no need to try and overload anyone. The flavor is nice. More mild than I would normally like, but flavorfull. It burns very nicely.
Overall a very nice cigar. I haven't had one of these in a long time as this is the last from a box that I bought a long time ago. If you're looking for a nice big cigar for a football game or something this one is a good choice.
