Live from the DR -

today was a great day... I checked out La Flor Dominicana

Awesome factory...it was the cleanest I've ever seen...incredible. I'll put up some pictures when I get back in the country... Now to light up one of these fresh rolled lanceros! 8) :D My week will finish off by paying a visit to Chateau de la Fuente and the CFCF foundation - I can't wait!!!

OK, I'll be the first to admit to being jealous. I am leaving tomorrow for a business trip to Swanton, OH. Doesn't come close to comparing.

Enjoy. Looking forward to hearing about the trip and seeing the pictures.
 
Any chance you need a bodyguard for these trips? I am 6'6 300 lbs and have my own equipment. Would be will to work for cigars?

hey, I'm going there in march.

I've been reading that you just cant go to Fuentes or la Aurora, some kinda trade thing. I was disappointed to read that cause I was looking forward to seeing them. Do you know if that is true?

I would love to go by la flour dominicana, i love there smokes. Did you just go there for a tour, or were you invited?

You can go by Aurora and just stop by. There is a lot you can see that is open to the public...but a lot of the others are in the free zone... Most of them aren't open to the pubic.

The Fuente factory was unbelievable! I got a some killer smokes.. Unbelievable!

I'm about to light up a fresh rolled Opus! someone pinch me! I love the DR!

OH MY GOD THAT GUY IS AWESOME!!! I'm a newbie but damn I love a good OPUS... Do you like get to see or purchase some of the craziest shapes and sizes? Like the ones on http://www.vitolas.net wouldn't that be a complete life. I want to definitely see more pics, please send. I'm a definite cigar fantasizer.
 
It smelled incredible in there... He wouldn't let me clear some room for a cot..but I had to ask. I have some photos of a lot of the cigars and more from vitolas.net...but Moki actually has those cigars! I only have pictures.... Let me go through a few more and re-size them...

Thor, what did Carlito have in the aging room?
 
In the Hemingway room he had everything Hemingway - anything you can think of...As far as The opus room - there was a ton of stuff! Crazy cigars that will probably end up on the auction floor for the CFCF..
and a couple hundred Opus Maduros!
 
Here are a couple more pictures.. I'm not going to post all of them, a lot are going into the new magazine that I'm publishing - something to look forward to! :D
