Looking for people to weigh in on this business thought

Looking to pontificate with the governmental types eh bildo?
just don't scare them off!

As a fellow Marylander in Westminster- I will offer my opinion.
I believe there is a market for your goal.I work in Silver Spring and would love a close place to enjoy a lounge cigar with ammenities. I travel and can go to most local areas- hate No. Va.- during the business day. Many in my circumstance would love such a place. One of the best I have seen was in Oklahoma City- Makers. I was there prior to their recent added upstairs area, and it was an evening place to enjoy a Porto, Scotch with cigars. Crowd was at tables and was 50-50 men women- all cigar smokers. Two piece band- teriffic. Check them out. The business plan is a key- which you know.
If you start- depending on location- I'll support you and will bring about 50 Construction Upper Management supporters. The Construction industry could bring 150-500 possible clients who would willingly pay a annual fee. Consider Corporate accounts. We Construction guys like that concept. If contacts are needed in my industry for a marketing- busines plan, please PM me. I'll help.

i think its a killer idea man
i hope it comes together for ya
what you have described is how i like to think of my apartment. (they dont quite match, but i can still pretend...)
good luck

I have to say I'm really touched. Thanks for the kind words and support Malone, we should definatley get together either way and enjoy a fine stick together somewhere! I will definately keep that in mind. MasterShake, I here hear you man, I'm just tired of the home being the only place to enjoy my smokes, not to mention, I really love to meet like minded people. Lets face it, that's a big reason why we sit here and type on this forum, we gain info, ideas, and meet new people. I will definately keep the fires stoked and I will keep everyone up to date. If I can manage the capital to do it, I will be inviting the entire message board to our opening night, that is for sure.

Thanks again
Paul

Eclipse,

Since the British Virgin Islands are exactly 31 nautical miles from my doorstep and the boundry line for the Bahamas is just after that, I can safely say the "grass shack concept" is most likely made of concrete cinder block (hurricanes) and is painted hot pink or tweety bird yellow. This is the Caribbean and Cubans are still king (although high prices have given everybody else a big boost in the last few years).

There are cigar lounges all over the place and most have made a go of it, having been in biz for several years.

Cian, Good point, though I think I was being more idealogical then realistic. I definately relaxed in a few clubs in the bahamas, and really enjoyed my time there. Prices are definately high, but with tourism being the number one industry from much of that area, I would say it boils down to supply and demand!! Thanks for weighing in!
