Okay, I hate the term "man cave". I think it is degrading to men by implying that we are Neanderthals. Which by the way, I am a creationist, so a Neanderthal isn't nessesarily bad. And because I have a German background.

Anyway, back on topic, The just released issue of Cigar Aficianado has a great article on man caves! Very good article! Now, just because I hate the term, I love the concept. My garage is somewhat of a man cave. I also converted our formal dining room into a "library". I also keep my gaming consoles and reloading bench in there. I suppose that is actually my man cave. I have some sweet ideas for a man cave if we build a custom house later on.

What are your thoughts and ideas?

My 8 x 10 foot storage shed is my man cave. I have set it up with a heater, blankets, a lamp and my lanterns out there, it works very well as my smoking room.

Naturally you will want to smoke cigars in your man cave and likely your wife or significant other will not want you to. I have been fighting this battle for years. Solution... Vents. The owner of our company smokes about 12 stogies a day... and he does it in the office. The place does not smell at all thanks to industrial vents. It may not be cheap but the value of keeping the wife happy is priceless.

Also any civilized "man cave" will have a pool table
