Natural and Maduro....Montnoir

The Thong lady might have a couple sticks up....well.... :bolt:

i was gonna ask about this earlier...
how does wveryone feel about the La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero? i understand its pretty rowdy...can anyone think of something comparable?
i want a knock me on my ass smoke, and was thinkin this might fit the bill

additionally, what is the double ligero business about? what does it mean, and why are there two!?

well let me know

I've never had a double ligero, but my tobacconist says the Double Ligeros are the only cigar he smokes that can knock him on his ass, and he smokes 5 cigars each day, at least.

Ligero is a designation given to leaves on the upper part of the plant. I want to say the LFD ligeros use filler/binder from the lower primings of the ligero section, while the double ligeros use only the highest primings of the ligero.

Another one you may want to look into for just straight up raw power with some good flavor to go with it is the Joya de Nicaragua 1970 series. Holy shiot are those things powerful... and they burn very slowly. Starts out spicy, almost like a Camacho, but then settle a bit and take on some decent complexity, especially if you get one from an older box.

Why you want a cigar so strong that it'll knock you over? I was just wondering because I don't really embrace the sensation because it feels similar to when I'm hung over.

I have smoked lots of these. Ligero is a type of tobacco named for its priming. It is used in fillers to give a cigar more body and richer flavor. When a cigar lacks or does not have enough juice, a blender will a times add more ligero tobacco. It is very black in color.

Not many things match up to that cigar. I might but the diploma maduro as one of the closest to it.

Haha I just realized how terrible my grammar was in my last post... whooops! I must've been in a rush
