I've checked with Greyhound. Even worse. With a car, it would be easy. Without, it's not going to happen. Too bad, I know I would have liked it. Post pictures!!!

Yes right, but according to my internet research, city to city in this case being Poughkeepsie, NY to Boston, MA is also 13-14 hours, meaning almost an hour a dollar!!! No folks, I didn't say a dollar an hour, I said an HOUR A DOLLAR!!!

Well, unless there's somebody up there who'll do a 384.4 mile round trip for a bottle of top shelf bourbon and a few fine cigars, I'm out. If you can get somebody to do it, there'll be a bottle of top shelf bourbon and at least a half dozen cigars in it for them. They will actually have their choice of a few bourbons and a fairly wide variety of cigars. Who knows, I might even throw in one of those Jen U. Whine Kyoobin Cohiba Esplendidos.

Upon further research, I see that whoever is a verifiable member of the Bostnbill/Colonel and Company crowd and can show up to drive me to this thing, the choices are more than I thought. The choice will be ONE bottle from a list of at least four or five top shelf bourbons, and also a bottle of my favorite rye, which is my favorite all time spirit, is also on the list that the bottle can be chosen from. The cigars, at least six may be taken, can be the choice of the driver, but I'm not saying I WILL give up the Cohiba Esplendido. I just THINKING about that.

Wow, I wish this were in my neck of the woods! This is starting to sound like a "don't miss" event!

Tons of donations have arrived. More to come during the week.

There will be a cash raffle to benefit http://www.jackwilliamswednesdayschild.com.

The raffle prize is a Commemrative one gallon bottle exact replica of Jack Daniel's Gold Medal, circa 1904, bottle 10 year old Saopedro Port, two aged (about 6 years) Opus X, two 6 oz stainless flasks, leather cover.

I just thought of another problem. I need to come back that night. Therefore, if either someone else or the same person will bring me back home, meaning another round trip of 384.4 miles, I will throw in another top shelf bottle of bourbon or rye, along with six more cigars. :dunno:

Bloof, I'm working on it. I have the kiddo's Friday night, or I'd have already commited.

Something's come up, almost exclusively work related. I'm afraid I'm out. Post pictures.

Thank you, Thor, for that generous package that is on the way.

Some have asked me if it's OK to bring stuff for the charity raffle. YES!!! Just see a N.E.W.K. staffer on Saturday.

No Problem, wish we could be there...I hope all who are going enjoy the smokes!! :D

Just spoke to Steve Saka. JR Guru and Lew's right hand man. He'll be there.

I'm sweating like Martha Stewart's boy toy on release day. We're mere hours away.

Bloofington, I'm truly sorry things came up. We'll have to do some better planning for the next one.

Sounded like a lot of fun...I hope there is one close enough to Chicago where We'll be able to attend. Mayeb I could get something going if there are enough people in the area who would be interested to sit around all day and smoke cigars and have a few drinks.... :D

Those pictures looked like fun. And it looks like one of the guys won cigars and a nice bottle.

Oh well, at least some other folks had a great time.
