One of the advantages to being involved with Cigar.com is my ability to take on some fun projects. One of which has been taking my favorite blends and sampling different sizes and how they effect the taste. I have been using this little experiment to have exclusive sizes made just for Cigar.com in a shape/ ring/ and length that I feel best compliments the blend. Now I cant disclose all of the upcoming exclusive sizes I have put together and what brands they will be available in. I assure you I will keep you guys posted though as they arrive at Cigar.com.

Sweet! Nice work Alex!

I've never had the Padilla Miami before but I may have to pick some up. I was surprised to see you made it a 5x52 - it seems like you tend to prefer the fatter/longer cigars.

Do you have a ballpark price on singles/boxes for the RP?

I am still costing it out. The tobacco is super expensive, however, based on the flavor and limited availability I think it will still be a steal. Probably in the neighborhood of $160.00 ($8 per cigar) for a box of 20 and about $10.00 per cigar if you buy singles.

Wow, I'd like to try the both, especially the RP Signature!

The 5 x 52 just made more sense on this one. The robusto was a my favorite in the line and also the size that scored 92 points in CA. So I kind of morphed the robusto into a torpedo.

The Padilla Miami is an excellent blend. It is made by Pepin Garcia at the El Rey de Los Habanos factory where they make both the Dom Pepin Garcia line and Tatuaje.

Going back to the earlier question, if I have a favorite size that spans all lines and all cigars it is hands down a lancero. As they get longer I like them a touch fatter. My range woudl be 5 - 7 inches in length with a ring range from 42 - 46. There is just somthing elegant and classy about a lancero.

However, that is just my personal preference. For the purposes of this experiment and project I have tried to remain very objective and pick only the sizes and shapes that complement the blends best.

Alex, you sure have a tough job. Can we trade places for a day?

Wow Alex you combined my two favorite a robusto and torpedo. That rock. Too bad I am poor right now.
