STEELERS!!!!!

As I said before, I'm by no means a football fan, but that game sucked. Worst officiating I've seen in a long time. However that Rothlesberger touchdown was not a part of that. That was absolutely a touchdown. I ended up leaving the room about halfway into the third quarter because I couldn't stand watching it anymore though.

Here We Go Steelers!! Here We Go!!!

Well, I don't know about you guys, But Seattle certainly did NOT bring enough to earn a W in that game! They certainly had enough chances and did not come thru! The STEELERS got what was needed when it was needed!

You guys want a "Do Over" We'll beat them again!

Bad Calls or not, the Seahawks didn't have it! You guys want to start playing without officials? No problem, Steelers will beat em again!

The Push Off was exactly that! a push off, looked like a push off on the replay too. Once the ball is in the air, both guys have a shot at it and one can't impede the other from it. You can't use the other player to improve your position. The Guy made the call and that was it!

I say it was a touchdown, you say it wasn't. The ball was that damn close right. It was called a touchdown and the replay couldn't say it wasn't! That's 6 anyway you look at it!

There is holding on every play in every game, we all know that! When that call was made the official didn't even know there was a completion! You gonna take Madden's word? He's hated Pittsburgh for a long time!

One for the Thumb! Next year we start working on the other hand!

I liked the Steelers in this one but, the infamous push-off was a very weak call. Technically it was a push-off, but I have seen MUCH worse not called. Overall I didn’t think the officials did that bad. It was not a classic in my mind but it was a good game.

The Bears will win next year anyway so we don’t have to worry about a rematch.

While Westminster Abbey, The Tower O' Big Ben was in the air, before the Seattle defender hit Big Ben's arm with his forearm, knocking it back, the ball DID cross the imaginary line going up from the front end of the goal line, and bisect the ball. The ball was over by a half inch to an inch. If you get a replay of that call, and run it to where Big Ben was in the air, then use a software program to draw a straight line up, it WILL bisect the ball.

TOUCHDOWN.

The Baby's on The Bus go wah, wah, wah,
Wah, wah, wah, wah, wah, wah,
The wheels on The Bus go round and round,
Round and round, round and round,
The wheels on The Bus go round and round,
Alllllll through Steeltown. :neer: :neer: :cryinlaugh:

Bloofy said it better than I could !!

Ok I have held my mouth, but even your own quarter back said on the tonight show he didn't make the touch down. Too bad he did not have the balls to say it during the game.

I know you understand this Ravyn, but just like in fighting when I walk off the field I will walk off with my honor weither I win or loose.

Whoa!!!! Are you saying that Pittsburgh did not play an honorable game?

Do you know where Pittsburgh is? If you take your head out of your rearend for a minute you might know.
There is more football in this little piece of the planet than anyplace else. The Rooney's have owned this team all it's life and are one of the most respected names in the league.
For you to make a statement like that just goes to show your ingnorance of your opponent.
Can I get witness on this Gentlemen?

You keep that disrespectful attitude and bring it next year, We'll be waitning!

Weither he thought he made the touchdown or not is inmaterial. The Refs said it crossed the plane, they called it a TD. The game is over, Pittsburgh Won, The seahawks LOST. Better luck next year.

Guys ---

Please remember -- no matter your personal feelings and emotions -- that it was just a GAME!!! Arguing back and forth will not be tolerated on the forums. No one has quite crossed the line as of yet -- but it is getting really close! If this thread digresses any further, action will be taken by the staff.

Razor,

You need to chill out. It is a game. I am not insulting you or Ravyn. In fact I respect Ravyn a lot and look forward to meeting him some day when I go to Pensic. The fact is your quarterback said it himself on the tonight show. Also a fact there were a lot of bad calls(ok maybe thats an opinion). Another fact it still doesn't change the fact that Seattle did not win.

If we are going to discuss somthing lets be civil to each other as neither you or I were playing.

I know Ravyn fights, don't know if you do. If so when I get over lets fight then go drink some beers.

I went to Pensic one year (many years ago) it was a really good time!

As for football - There is always going to be a small amount of human error - it is the nature of the beast.
I'd bet a diamond against a donut the same player has had many calls against him that he felt weren't fair.
Just part of sports - Ref is right even if he is wrong!
Review didn't show enough evidence to over turn the call so it stands.

There were calls in the game that could of gone either way.
WOuld the game have ended differently - we will never know?

even if you take off the 7 points from the TD , Pittsburgh still wins 14 - 10, , even if the seahawks made the 47 yard FG Pittsburgh still wins 14-13 , Now do you all feel better, Da Burgh Still WINS Enjoy, Vince

you cant figure it like that though vince, who knows how things would have changed if the steelers werent given that td, maybe nothing and the steelers would have still won, maybe if they didnt get that td it would have affected the players or the coach and later plays would have gone down differently. we will never know what would have happend.

geeze guys, it only football. Its not like its something really important...like BASEBALL!!!!!!!! Go YANKEES!!!! :hypercolor: :hypercolor: :hypercolor:

Sorry for the interuption, now back to the regularly schedualed fight :)

Base ball, been berry berry good to me , at PNC Park where the Pirates play, we sit in the outfield seats under the score board & smoke cigars during the game, can you smoke in the stands at yankee statium or Dodger statium or even at the field in Boston what ever the name of it is I do appoligise to the red sox fans for not knowing the name of the field, AHHHH yes Fenway Park, dammmm there are still a few brian cells that work ! , Now that we have that taken care of I was about to make a point but alas I forgot where I was headed, dammmm I hate getting old ! but it beats not getting any older ! Oh yea now I remember, the Pirates , we need a base ball team & a hockey team here in town, Oh we have a franchise for both but the teams havent been doing at all as good as the steelers, we even had a Pro basket ball team here , the Pittsburgh Pipers in the ABA , won the championship 2 years in a row , never had a sell out, this isnt a Pro basket ball town but you cant by a ticket to a PITT basketball game , I do remember when Pittsburgh won the Super Bowl, the World Series & the Stanley Cup all the same year, PITTSBURGH Truely is a City of Champions
enough of my Scotch induced rant ! Enjoy , Vince
