What's Your Profession?

I work in the IS/IT Dept. of a very large newspaper chain (which shall remain nameless). I just picked up a 200-ct. humidor which I have about a third full. Since I only smoke an average of 4 cigars a week, I'm trying to stick with better quality smokes over everyday stuff.

I work in Retail Management running my local branch of a large electronics chain. Yes, I do this by choice.....I like not having any idea what I'm walking in to every day. :duh:

Ya, Mabey I am nuts :dunno:

I make my living in womens bedrooms. Actually I am the owner of a custom window treatment business

Fred Garvin is that you?

Oh, wait windows. Nevermind.

i ref at a paintball field on the weekends. We can smoke, but it is looked down upon and unprofessional looking as well. So I dont smoke at work. It is a good job, something I like to do and its pretty easy and the pay isnt that bad either.

Eventually, after college, I hope to open my own ceramics studio. It was a class I wanted to take this year at my school, and I did. I love it, and im not half bad either.

And if i do manage to open a ceramics studio I will allow myself to smoke.

Im a Systems Analyst for the Department of Public Safety in Mississippi. There is no smoking in government buildings so i usually eat lunch at my desk while working so i can spend my lunch break at the cigar shop sittin on the couch watchin tv. The majority of my cigars are 6-7 dollars except my few cubans and my purple labels. I spend more than need to on sticks but o well there other worse hobbies out there. I saw were a bunch of you guys are involved in paintball. Ive been playin tournament ball for about 7 years now but been spending all my paintball money on smokes lately. lol

cigars... paintball...cigars...paintball...
That's an easy decision. :D CIGARS!

I'm a cryptologist in the navy. My price range varies. But I have 125ct humidor that is almost filled completely

As my screen name implies, I'm a mechanic for Caterpillar. If you had trouble deciphering that, please pm angryman as he is a cryptologist and might be willing to help you out.

Afterword, please repeatedly slam your head in the door until things go dark for your own benefit.

anyway - I'm a mechanic for CAT and I love my job. previously I was a construction manager, had to wear a suit, and hated my very stressful job. (company went belly up after 9-11). I was also lucky enough to be a combat engineer in the US ARMY. Too bad there isn't a lot of legitimate demand in the civilian world for people to blow stuff up.

I own a small plumbing co. in southern Indiana. After a hitch in the navy I went back to my home town, Cleveland Ohio. Joined the plumbers union, local 55, and honed my skills there. After 20 yrs. or so they split the shop. A commercial side and a residential side. The pay on the residential side went to about half of commercial. They lost a lot of good plumbers that day. So I started reading the trade journals looking for a co. to buy. I found one I could afford in Indiana, and as they say the rest is history.
I really enjoy the cuban label as an everday cigar. I like the 5 Vegas gold also. I just started the hobby so I am trying a lot of stogies. Most of my smokes are from 2-6.00. But I just ordered some more exspensive sticks including an OpusX. I have a small humi for my smokes but I have a 300 ct. glass lid humi coming for my good sticks. Hope to fill it up, my daughter is getting married next June 2007.

Cakes, it isn't a franchise is it?

I also work in that business as an installer. My mom just sold the business to a guy who is doing very well so far. He kept me on as his installer.

I am a full time Firefighter/Paramedic, we can smoke at work as long as it is not inside the station or in the view of the public. So I spend a good deal of every shift in the bay or parking lot. I smoke cigars in the price range of 1.00-20.00 however I stay closer to the lower end of that for the most part. There is talk of the city going to a no smoking on or off duty policy where we would have to sign a contract saying we would not use any tobbacco product on or off duty. It has to do with insurance costs, and other cities in our area have already done this. Talk about ironic....we can be firefighters and do all that the job brings, but we can't smoke.

I'm a computer programmer. I mostly work with Java on Unix systems. Currently I'm working in the eCommerce department of a parts distributor, though I've got an interview Monday in the finance industry downtown.
As you might guess I can't smoke at work, though I do keep a couple tins of miniature cigars in my desk in a plastic bag w/ one of those "crystal" humidification tubes & duck out for a short smoke on occasion.

I help protect your food, your home, your business, your health, your life style, YOUR CIGARS. I have been in the pest control industry for 10 years. I work primarily in commercial situations ie restaurants, production facilities, grocerey stores, and the such. I love my job it is something new everyday and challenges you every bit of knowledge.
My sticks of choice are of the CAO lines. I have three humi's two 50 ct desk tops and a three hundred ct that will only hold singels.

i'm a state certified General Contractor

I smoke pretty much when I want...about 3 sticks a day

I am a mechanical engineer for a large company (CMI Groupe) that designs and builds equipment for Steel Mills. Primarily slab reheat furnaces and galvanizing lines. I am now currently in the NE Oho area, south of Cleveland. So being a Pittsburgh boy, in ways this is torture.

I have a 3 to 4 stick a day habit. The everyday smoke is the cigar.com cuban label, but have a real love of the CAO Italia, Black, and Mx2.

For the special occassions the GrayCliff Expresso.

Ah, yes.......

As a married law student with newly arrived twin daughters, I am also in the same situation.

Prior to coming to law school, I spent 5 seasons working commercial and residential construction and operating heavy construction equipment to pay for college. I currently work for a small law firm and for one of my professors who litigates public policy cases.
