Ok, my mother has just visited me having got back from Cuba last week. Among other things she got me, she had a special something for me, fresh from Havana!

It is a Romeo y Julieta Churchill en tubo - one of my favorite cigars. Whats more, is that on the aluminium tubing, it has been signed by the head honcho at the RyJ factory- I can't make out the name, but thats what she's told me - CC, you probably know him?!

However, the problem occured, whilst she held it out to show me, the cap of the tube fell off, and this glorious cigar slid out and smashed into the floor despite my best dive to try and catch it in mid-air. The foot of the cigar is now smashed up and I want to know what you guys think I should do with it...
:boohoo:

The good news is, she brought me back a box of Montecristo #4's, a box of Cohiba Exquisitos and to top it all off, an amazing box of Partagas Series D #4 reserva - I couldn't believe my eyes with all these boxes of amazing cigars coming out of her bag!! Good job I bought a new humidor recently! :tomcat:

As far as the cigar with the smashed foot goes, smoke it, of course.

:cryinlaugh: :neer: :neer: :duh: :duh: :duh: :sm_angel:

How's your shoulder doing?

Ando, I'm with the Bloof meister on this one. Cut maybe? make a little smaller if it's in such bad shape that you couldn't get it going in it's current state, but other wise, toast it as you always would!! By the way, I love your mother!!!

Take care my firend,
Paul

is your mom still married? :D

as for the cigar, its pretty big, i think you could sacrifice a little off the foot...additionally, i have had the very same cigar - you wont be disappointed!

i think this would be a good spot to post the resting place of my ryj churchill...

Partagas Series D #4 reserva - DAMN!

DOES SHE WANT/NEED ANOTHER SON
I'm willing!

As for the name not sure, but can find out!
If you need t replace the cap I can do that for you!

Any clue on a few letters in the name?

R.I.P. MasterShake's RyJ Churchill.

Alas, poor fella, we knew him well.

CC,

I'm sure she'd be more than willing to take you on as a second son! As for the name, its more of a 'squiggle' - when I have time I'll post a picture of it on here!

As for the Series D #4 reserva, I've been advised my a certain aficionado to let them sit for a few months before letting the first one go up in flames!

Masta - I'm afriad you're about 10 years too late - my mother is happily remarried!!

Bloof - shoulder is fine now - had surgery a few months ago to have my shoulder blade pinned and plated back together - the surgeon said if someone fired a bullet at my new shoulder it would ricochet off and leave me with a minor flesh wound!!! :rotflmao:

Here goes my own surgery -I'm going to attempt to aputate the broken foot of my cigar...I shall let you know how it goes...!!

Enjoy your evenings!

I don't get it. I thought those bullets you took were a few weeks ago. Or were you relaying a story that was just approved for release, but long after the actual incident? That must be it. Sorry. Anyway, glad you're doing okay, but it does sound somewhat grisly, having all that stuff in your shoulder now. As long as you're getting around and feeling well, that's what's important.

I got shot in Iraq about 2 months ago now I think it was. But so much has happened since then, I'd forget my head if it wasn't screwed on. The bullets were taken out by a medic as soon as it happened, but my shoulder blade was shattered into 4 pieces which they plated and screwed back together leaving me with a fully functional and much stronger shoulder!

The main problem was missing out on the fitness - I literally sat and ran troop drills from a chair whilst smoking cigars so my fitness took a bit of a drop!! But thankfully thats back up to scratch and I've been on training ops in Antartica and Germany again since. But unfortunatly we were called back up on duty when the bombs went off in London. But on a persoanl level, I'm back baby!!

As for the slightly disabled RyJ Churchill, the aputation was a clean cut success. It was a lovely rich smoking experience enjoyed with an amazing glass of port from 1935. I enjoy it when my mum brings me presents!!! :rotflmao:

My friends, have a wonderful evening, and I shall no doubt speak to you tomorrow!

-Ando

Ahhh, I thought so. I knew it couldn't have been more than two months ago you got wounded in battle. I figured you meant weeks when you typed months. That explains it, but I am very glad to hear you're back and fit. Antarctica, huh??

:eek:mg: :eek:mg: :flush:

You're a better man than I am by a long shot. You can have Antarctica.

By the way, on the more dreary side, I knew London was coming, and coming soon. I've been discussing it with a couple people who have raised the subject. One guy likes to discuss that stuff in detail. We both felt that London was the next target, and probably a rehearsal for the next one over here. Buses, trains, and over here they will add malls, theaters, oil refineries, and perhaps power plants.

July 7th seemed very logical to me. I spent the night at a friend's and woke up with trepidation. They like to mock us. 911 was a mockery, almost like the crotch grabbing Noo Yawker going I gotcha 911 rightheah, I gotcha 911. I think you guys know what I mean, the typical mocking caricature. George Carlin does that shtick sometimes. So now, with 7-7, it's like "so you guys think 7 is a lucky number, ehhhhh? We gotcha lucky number rightheah, we got your lucky number." Very sad. I have to call my friend in Brooklyn, who hails from Brighton, and ask him how's everybody across the lake.

Take care, Ando. See you next time you're around. Be safe.

Wow, Antartica is quite the cultural shock from Iraq!

God bless you and keep you, Ando.

Yeah lets just say the powers that be like to keep us on our toes!!

Antartica is awesome - you have never heard silence like it.

I'm aiming for something bigger which I can't really discuss here, but basically it means I need to get as much experience in as much terrain as possible. The chance to go training in Antartica came up and I grabbed it with both hands!

Bloof, I know what you mean about 7/7 in London - it wasn't a case of 'if' but 'when'. What's done is done, all we can do now is to show that things like this only bring our community closer together, and thats exactly what is happening in London - it is great to see (if anything can be termed 'great' after a disaster such as this).

God bless the world :)

I think I know what you're getting ready to step up to. Please be careful, although you are a hero among heroes, if that's where you're going in life. Thank God the world has folks like you. If Iraq and Antarctica is "keeping on one's toes," I'm glad I'm a soft, old American. I pooped in my pants when I had to get my draft card back in '74, when I turned 18. The war was still on, although we were pulling out. Scary stuff, this war business. Who better to take it on than rugby players.

Here's to Ando's "people," our brothers and sisters across the pond, for their toughness and "chin up" spirit in the face of the worst tragedy in their streets since the Blitzkrieg.

God bless the world indeed.

The news we get over here "across the pond" is always suspect, as far as I'm concerned, but it does appear that Londoners and the good old Brits are unifying and not dividing over this. Great to here from you Ando that that is the case.

Sure glad Ando is on our side :)

Glad to hear you're doing well Ando. I hope the cigar surgery is successful and you find some relaxation in an otherwise hectic past several days.

Just found out I'll be gone for a week or so. Keep me posted if anything exciting comes up!!!

...I've got some people to take care of....! :biggun: :m16: :rnr:

Take care everyone, speak soon.

Right on Ando! Glad to hear the ryJ was as successfull endevour, and even more delighted to hear your shoulder is newly enhanced and feeling better! I wish you all the luck, and God speed in all of your duties protecting and serving your queen as well as protecting the world!

Take care,
Paul

Ando -
let me know if you want another cap for the tube?
I won't be around the rest of this week.

Eduardo is manager of the factory store,
I can't find the factory manager's name?

Ando,

Good to hear everything is looking up. We were worried about you there when we did not hear from you.
