Ok, I admit it! I am still off work because of my Sinus surgury. Yes I am getting bored. Yes I recieved my Friday deal today, and Yes I just finished my second cigar today. The first was the Sol Cubano Maduro and it was wonderful. The second was the Sol Cubano Sumatra. I now want to retire and smoke cigars all day. I can say this to you guys because you get it. My wife can't wait for me to get healthy and get out of her home. Like most, I sleep at my house but because of working so much, I am really just a guest. I have disrupted everything around here. The dogs are even starting to growl at me. Making matters worse, it has been raining for 3 days in a row. All I can do is shoot my air soft BB gun out in the garage or watch Springer. As for the Springer deal, man I have a great life! Are there really people like that? Ok so anyway....The Sumatra is also a terrific Cigar. I would not say it is my favorite but quite good. The wrapper is sweet and distracts me a bit. The draw on the one I smoked is too loose for me ( I like a little fight) though it has a really nice even burn. The flavors are too subtle for me right now and that may be my sinus deal. I still say it is a good cigar because I have smoked some pretty nasty cigars in my day and this one has nice full body and feels really good in hand and mouth. The aroma is just what I like, earthy and rich. Really a fine cigar, but I'm gonna wait until I am 100% before smoking another. I just had to share. I hope everyone is well and for all the new Dads-to-be out there congrats and remember that grandkids are even cooler! :D

Great review buddy, I know what you mean about being in the wifes hair. After a while even that gets boring!! I have got some of those Sol Cubana coming, as do others on the forum. I think it would be great if we all smoked one and then compared notes on it. I don't think we could do as good as you do, but it would be fun to compare our impressions.

There you go!

Good to hear you're back in the game.

YES! They're all over here. As for the show, I don't watch it anymore but they used to have the Springer Cam. Don't think they do anymore. Anyways, it was like a handycam for the guest to use to record things at home. One of the episodes they had was "The obsession or me" or something like that and the wife confronted her husband who was a compulsive cake baker with the camera. The tape showed him in a frilly pink apron fighting with his wife in their trailer full of freshly frosted confections. One of the funniest things I've ever seen.

That was quite a review!

My palate isn't as refined or educated as some of the seasoned smokers here. I'm able to taste the difference between one cigar and another, but still can't hone in on the actual flavors of "nutmeg" or " burnt toast" or others yet.

Dammmm 2 a day, I wish I could cut back to 2 a day, here it is 3:00 in the afternoon, Burgh Time, & I am on #4 , I had a Don Carlos #3 at 6 am with a cup of Sumatra on my morning walk to the end of the drive way to get the paper, at 8:30 I had a Bahia Corona with more Sumatra , after Lunch I had a Cacique Robusto & I just finished a Nicarao Torp with a little Single malt , I felt a little tickel in my throat & wanted to medicate it before it got worse, the scotch was purly medicinal ! , after supper I have a wonderful Mombacho Corona grande calling my name & I think I hear a call from the kitchen some thing about more scotch ( just for medicinal use only ) hahahaha , Time to put on a pot of Kenya AA . Enjoy, Vince

Don't we all. Drinking coffee and scotch all day, along with great sticks. Doesn't get much better than that.

I still put in my share of "work" time , yea I do get to drink a lot of coffee & scotch & I do smoke a few cigars every day but you got to remember I have retired twice so far in my life, the first time was back in 2000 , it was Jan 8, I worked my last day,, By May my wife had enough of me being home all the time & she told me to get a job or she was going to take a page out of Lorianna Bobbette's book
so I got a job at the local radio station & was there for 4 years , I had had enough , so I retired a second time , well that lasted about 18 months & again to quote Lorain Bo bits well known escapade , I went back to work this time for Tabacaleria Tropical ,
so I set up appointments on the phone go out meet & greet people & sell a few cigars , when you get to this point in your life you will be able to take the time to smell the coffee & sip the scotch, just work hard when your young, put some cash in the bank for your "OLD AGE" hahahahaha
Enjoy, Vince

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, Big Vince, Uncut!!! Conjures up images. :rotflmao: :cryinlaugh:

AND immages I dont want to think about, as they say absence makes the heart grow fonder, but absitinance makes for a really grouchy old man, not to say i am grouchy or anything like that but Little Vinny & I have been friends for many years , & I like to share "Little Vinny" as often as I can , but over the years Little Vinny has been getting out of the house a lot less often lately that when he was a LOT younger , what I used to do all night now takes me all night to do ! hahahaha Enjoy, Vince

"Little Vinny"....LMAO! :rotflmao: :cryinlaugh: :rotflmao: you kill me, Vince! you are always good for a laugh... I see I need to find a way to make it up to the Quarterdeck someday!
